The Uprising have ripped apart trumps Big Lie, pulled apart all his conspiracy theories and found a lot of dark money groups behind them, from the Federalist, and repeated claims pushed by fox news, Carlson

https://www.theuprising.info/p/exclusive-going-dow...

Worth a read,

Spot the bit where Tucker Carlson promoted one of the lies from VoterGA, that was instantly debunked. When asked a Fox News spokeswoman said they didn’t cover these claims on any news programs and they didn't have a comment on the Tucker broadcast, so washign theior hands, yet still allowing him to do this

Thanks Byker, really interesting read. Biden needs to get on top of this for the next election cycle, as I can see the dark money/misinformation approach will be ramped up to 11.

The 6 Jan select committee is taking over the House probe of Trump's DOJ. They say they look forward to the Select Committee fully exposing the former president's unconstitutional attacks on their democracy and attempts to stay in power after the people voted him out.

Oh dear. "Those who try to vote for their favourite design are redirected to a fundraising page hinting that this could just be Trump’s latest grift."
Doubles up as a handy opener for inconveniently locked doors on your next insurrection outing.
Look carefully, they can't spell official...

I'm another one thankful to Byker for continuing to summarise the news.
It's good that there is a place where you can read up on the "Trump latest" if you want to know anything, but must admit that I'm a bit baffled by Byker's tenacity on the subject.

Trump hasn't really been mainstream news for a good few months (with the exception of the tax return thing in the last week), so it must take a fair bit of time trawling across a multitude of media outlets every single day to collect these various reports.

Byker - if you are reading - do you have any particular reason for this or has it just become a hobby of sorts?

Apologies if it's been asked before - no judgement or agenda, just curious.
Answered many times. Couldn't believe everything that was coming out about trump as a candidate, then when he got in understood we were living through one of those major historical moments, like Watergate, no in landings, 9/11.

trump has been the worse, most corrupt potus ever, worse thing ever for the US, compromised.by many foreign countries and leaders, only interested in himself and money.

There's so.much more to come as more will come to light, not just the insurrection attempt, but even things done in plain sight, the attempts to dismantle the Usps to stop mail in votes, the appointment of trump loyalists without any skills just to do his bidding, shut down investigations, the grifting...
Byker, apologies for the delayed response, been busy with work but thanks for taking the time to reply.

Agree with you that Trump should be made to answer a lot of questions, some of which should be in front of a court.

Still think it will never happen. You say there is still a lot to "come to light", I don't doubt that, but would be willing to bet it will all be swept under the carpet.

The US as a super-power relies a lot on it's world image. To put an ex-president on trial would show a weakness, that there was a failure in the system. I do not believe they will allow to happen.

It's a chapter of history that many powerful folks on both sides of the current US political debate would rather forget than have it all put under scrutiny again.

I think putting a fradulent ex-President on trial, and maybe even convict him,
would not show the US as a weak state, but as a strong state, proving "all people are equal under law".
While this sure is a bit idealizing how the US -and any western democracy- really works,
it could show that blatant lying, stealing and cheating are not tolerated in the White House.

Trump should have stayed in his more or less legitimate business branches and franchises,
I have been reading that his victory over Clinton came as quite a surprise to him, and tend to believe it.

I agree - under trump the us was shown to be a corrupt, weak state, only in it for the money and trump for his ego.

Look how eagerly GOP went to russia in 2015, how they readily took the russian money filtered through the NRA, how many met Butina, how they accepted trumps russian meetings, met with russians at trumps campaign rallies, covered up and obstructed investigations.

I could keep going, but trump was compromised by so many foreign powers and leaders, usually because he was trying to do a business deal, without a clue about foreign policy, he made the US a laughing stock, especially with the stupid handshake power move that both Macron and Trudeau bested him at.

Who can forget:

Cuomo definitely trying to do a trump. Remember trumps letter during the first impeachment. The letter from Cuomo's attorneys released this afternoon references Bharara 33 times and blames him influencing Kim against hom.

https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/default/files/20...

Basically his defence is that the former Federal prosecutor who investigated Cuomo sexual harassment is biased because he is friends with the former Federal prosecutor who investigated Cuomo for corruption when Cuomo shut down the ethics commission he created because it got too close to charging him..

It also states outright that Cuomo stopped a Bharara appointment with one US president, and strongly implies he did it with two while issuing a public denial.

Another trump defence tactic, Cuomo says he doesn't know the woman who has sued him saying he groped her breast.
Of course there are many photos of him with her in the AG report...

Louis DeJoy, trumps stooge put into the post office t destroy mail in voting, has given a huge contract to a company called XPO Logistics, which in turn just happens to pay a lot of money to Louis DeJoy.

Remember in June it was established that the Department of Justice is criminally investigating him for a decade long pattern of clear-cut campaign finance felonies.

According to MyPillow guy Mike Lindell, Chinese hackers had switched about 24,000 votes from trump to Mr. Biden. Local Election Clerk Christina Jensen (a republican) has explained that the local election system is not connected to the internet, here aren’t even 24,000 registered voters in Clark County, it’s actually less than 17,000. She's also reminded people that tump won that county by about 5,000 votes.
https://edition.cnn.com/2021/08/05/politics/mike-l...

CNN said that Lindell is a superspreader of election misinformation.

Pelosi so out maneuvered McCarthy. The 6 Jan trump insurrection investigation committee is about to add another Republican to its ranks. Denver Riggleman, a former House Republican who lost his seat having had trumps endorsement, is joining the committee as an “adviser.”
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-06...

Riggleman was someone calling out trump over his lies and fact checking them...

This as the 6 Jan trump insurrection investigation committee have said they are expanding the investigation to look into Trump-DOJ election tampering, with the attempts by Jeffrey Clark coming to light this week, with trump promising him the position of AG if he did it...
https://www.politico.com/news/2021/08/05/jan-6-pan...

The committee will be interviewing Rosen and Donoghue, who appear to be wiling to cooperate as witnesses against Trump and Clark.

It's a big move and shows that the committee intends to establish the Trump DOJ election meddling and the January 6th insurrection as part of the same ongoing criminal effort on Donald Trump’s part to overthrow the 2020 election results.

Seth Abramson reporting that the True Pundit Hoax—an effort by Rudy Giuliani, Erik Prince and Michael Flynn to coerce the FBI into reopening Clinton's email case via lies about FBI leaks, has been confirmed as a hoax by the DOJ. Efforts in 2016 for Giuliani to manufacture dirt for trump - where have we heard that before...

Worth a read of this thread, how team trump spread lies to try to get the FBI to reopen the investigation into Clintons emails just before the election, something Comey announced, tipping trump over the edge with floating voters, something Comey has never admitted he was wrong about.

There's a press release from Qatari travel firm Mosafer, Inc. announcing a US lawsuit against Elliott Broidy And George Nader (both heavily connected with trump) for allegedly orchestrating assault against Qatar.

Lawsuit claims SCL Social who were linked to Cambridge Analytica were part of scheme
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/qatar-bas...

Remember Kushner worked with Audi over the blockade of Qatar which suddenly stopped after Qatar bailed out his failing 666 fith ave business...

6 October 6, 2017, the same day Elliott Broidy met with Trump and suggested he meet with UAE's MBZ and fire Tillerson for not being tough on Qatar was the day SCL Social did a FARA filing for UAE campaign to boycott Qatar

Remember it all came from the Seychelles meeting to set up a back channel from trump to the russians. A good timeline of how it's all connected is here
https://wsiegelman.medium.com/from-the-seychelles-...

When I say there's so much more to come out, we only know parts so far. Whats starting to happen is all the parts are getting connected to give the whole corrupt story...

Much more here: https://twitter.com/WendySiegelman/status/14237258...

Edit: remember Mannafort is all over this as well,
https://www.emptywheel.net/2021/07/23/the-larger-r...

There's a Mueller interview of Paul Manafort that remains almost entirely redacted, meaning it's still under investigation (or part of Barrs obstruction and coverup) https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21031656-1...

Court roundup

Capitol insurrectionist Kevin Fairlamb is pleading to obstruction and assault. Guideline range is 41 to 51 months and he's also being told he'll pay $2K towards his share of the damage in the Capitol. Same as in some of the other defendants, the govt prosecutors are writing in the ability to call this terrorism at sentencing, so leading to plea deals.
https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/case-multi-defenda...

Yesterday was 7 months since trumps insurrection attempt
So far the prosecution have
charged 565 people so far, with a list oif outstanding to come
1 case dropped by the govt (Chris Kelly) + 1 case where the defendant died (Joseph Barnes)
There have been 33 guilty pleas but so far only 6 people sentenced

One of those supposed to be in court yesterday didn't show up. Joshua Haynes, nice bloke who strangled his partner recently and assalted family members
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21037694/8-...

In this filing it clearly states Robert Reader got video of people trying to break through the doors to the Senate, and assault of the officers
