Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins made the point everyone is now saying, that the GOP driven fake audits is a national movement to undermine democracy and to make people think that elections are unsafe so they can pass more and more laws to make it harder and harder for people to vote.

As this opinion piece in CNN points out, McConnell and Pence are trapped in trumpland having endorsed and failed to control trumps Big Lie, failed to deal with trumps scorched earth policy killing GOP voters, with a new poll showing that a majority of Republicans want trump back, believe his Big Lie and that the election was stolen from him. They aren't helped by McCarthy who runs off to trump at any opportunity.

We know from the NYT statistics that in counties where Donald Trump received at least 70 percent of the vote, the virus has killed about 47 out of every 100,000 people since the end of June, compared to just 10 out of every 100,000 people who live in counties that voted heavily for President Joe Biden.

Not that trump can do anything to control the monster he created in opposing vaccines. Remember he was booed at his rally when he suggested briefly people get vaccinated.


McConnell meanwhile is continuing his policy of saying no to anything the Dems want, no matter if the US fails, as they voted against raising the debt ceiling last night. Remember that was raised three times under trump and it's to pay for spending that McConnell and the GOP already approved...

Dems need to wise up now. They can't expect the GOP to do anything positive anymore, 10 months has shown them this.
