Dominion want full trial for everyone they are suing, including Powell, Giuliani etc. They say in the filing that they show a lack of remorse and continue to double down on their lies and so don't believe any realistic possibility of settlement exists.
Really hoping that Dominion get somewhere with this if only to kill off the Trump Playbook Rule No 1 of doubling down on everything until the other side gives in. Trump has obviously told all these other mugs that's the way forward, it's always worked for me etc etc, but they won't have anything like the same power to stick it out to the bitter end. trumps legacy...?
For the first time in Michigan's recorded history, deaths outpaced births in 2020, a situation worsened by the wave of deaths from COVID-19. In the first year of the pandemic, 104,149 babies were born in Michigan but 117,087 people died in the state.

I mean surely you don't get into a position whereby you're identified, even by someone fraudulently in the Trump sphere, as being worthy of providing a signature if you've been a street bum all your working life?
These people must've been in a reasonable position of authority to make it worthwhile using them but they've obviously been stupid enough to fall for the Big Lie

I share your frustration. However, think Watergate, took 2 years to slowly and painfully expose the truth, with Nixon using everything in his considerable power as incumbent president to hamper the investigation. Work up from the bottom of the rancid heap, people will eventually sink him to save their own necks.moffspeed said:
Grimly hilarious. Such a shortfall in general awareness (let alone self awareness) would be shameful in anyone but it's nothing short of ridiculous in a congressman. How in all that's holy do these people rise so far above their pay grade??Vizsla said:

Yep. This one is going much faster than Watergate. In any free and fair legal system the onus is always on the prosecution and advantage to the defender (as it should be mind you) so the prosecution needs an iron clad case where as Trump only needs to establish reaonsbale doubt.
However since the begining theyve treated the investigation like they would take down a mafia Don. So I have no doubt they'll get Trump unless he dies first.

We value people we like far too much over ability. Most politicians, CEOs and the like get where they are because they can influence people, not because they are skilled or knowledgeable.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
