I suspect the U.K. has banned component exports as there is a worldwide shortage of vials for example.

In other news, away from the rubbish Charles Michel is spouting:

Johnson & Johnson has told the European Union it is facing supply issues that may complicate plans to deliver 55 million doses of its Covid-19 vaccine to the bloc in the second quarter of the year, an EU official told Reuters.

Any delay would be a further blow to EU’s vaccination plans, which have been hampered by bumpy supplies from other vaccine makers and a slow rollout of shots in many member states.

J&J told the EU last week that issues with the supply of vaccine ingredients and equipment meant it was “under stress” to meet the goal of delivering 55 million doses by the end of June, the EU official – who is directly involved in confidential talks with the US company – told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

It’ll never fly if it’s quasi-ineffective.

Easy, slap a J&J label on the millions of AZ doses in storage and the Europeans will be falling over themselves.

That's an appalling piece of propaganda.

"This is why the European Union has launched the international COVAX initiative to supply vaccines to the world’s lower income countries."

Err, no, Covax is a joint venture of the World Health Organisation, CEPI (a Norwegian based body with world wide membership) and GAVI, a worldwide vaccine program started by Bill Gates which works with worldwide bodies.

You do know Russian Roulette has nothing to do with Russia?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_roulette
That link to Wikipedia does not appear to back up your statement though. Would you care to elaborate?
The term seems to have first used by a Swiss in a novel about Russian officers in Rumania (sic).

So not really a real link.
Let me see if I understand this......

A story about Russian military officers, and things they do has nothing to do with Russia.

Nothing at all.

Completely unrelated.

Is that what you are saying?

And you are claiming to be more intelligent than someone else, based on that position?

Just to be clear, the Swiss that apparently wrote the Novel. Where was he/she when they did so?
A story, you know a story is made up stuff, about Russian officers in a made up country by a Swiss writer some how connects the term with Russia!!

It seems the term was used by him in a story published in a US magazine. It seems likely therefore the writer, who spent a lot of time in the US, was likely in the US.
Lets try again.

You said..... "it has nothing to do with Russia"

Now you are saying "it is a story about Russians"

So it DOES have something to do with Russia then. It's about the actions of Russians. Fictional Russians maybe, but still Russians. Not fictional Swiss, or Aussies, or Finns, or Brazilians (these three nationalities added for dramatic effect), or even Americans. Russians.

let me state that again..... The story you are quoting is about the actions of RUSSIANS, regardless of who wrote it.

RUSSIANS. You know, those people from RUSSIA. RUSSIANS, yes, them.... so there is clearly a link between Russians and Russian Roulette.

Not forgetting that the bit you are relying upon is one possible source of the phrase from the Wikipedia page, whereas the other possible sources are very firmly RUSSIA related.

Plus you are guessing when you say that the Swiss bloke was in the US. You have no evidence of that whatsoever.

But bringing this back to the topic at hand, which you have so diligently trying to distract from with this amusing, if somewhat preposterous aside, the EU have managed to piss Russia (where it would appear that Russian Roulette does actually come from) off over vaccines. Well done them. At this rate they will have upset everyone there is to upset and mission accomplished!

i would go further and say it is a pack of lies. nice use of europe vs eu to suit the narrative as well. every time a senior eu politician appointee opens their mouth i am reminded of the main reason i voted leave. shower of utterly delusional self aggrandising narcissistic s, the lot of them.

It appears we know Mrr T's name now.

And Mrr T - do you think it might be less about the phrase Russian Roulette, and more to do with saying the vaccine is dodgy? Which is what they did with the AZ in Europe, which has resulted in the lack of people wanting to use it? Even if it's nothing to do with using a stereotype do you think the EU yet again undermining the uptake of vaccines which we need to get us out of this is a good thing?
