Let’s not forget that Philip, a member of the Greek Royal family was a decorated War hero who was mentioned in dispatches during the battle of Matapan, served in the Royal Navy in the Med, took part in the invasion of Sicily and then went to the Far East to fight the Japs
He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades
I for one, which him a speedy recovery
You can’t say ‘Japs’’ anymore. Who do you think you are, Prince Philip? He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades

Tebbit flew Meteors and Vampires in the RAF before leaving to fly for BOAC where he flew a range of 50s/60s airliners. He was never a Vulcan pilot.
Thanks. I defer to your greater knowledge. I thought my geography beak at school had said he had trained him on them. But maybe I misremember and it was something else - he had everything from Tiger Moths and Spitfires to Vampires, Venoms, Meteors and Shackletons in his logbook.

He's now been transferred to St Bart's for further treatment of his infection and observation of his pre-existing heart condition.
Maybe the infection isn't responding to treatment, hope it's not same as m-i-l, water infection, treated with broad spectrum antibiotics, ended up into hospital with c-dif. Not pleasant, didn't respond to any treatment, just went downhill rapidly.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
