Let’s not forget that Philip, a member of the Greek Royal family was a decorated War hero who was mentioned in dispatches during the battle of Matapan, served in the Royal Navy in the Med, took part in the invasion of Sicily and then went to the Far East to fight the Japs

He’s one of the few WW2 veterans left, a career Naval officer who gave up his career for his wife who he has supported for decades

I for one, which him a speedy recovery
You can’t say ‘Japs’’ anymore. Who do you think you are, Prince Philip?
Nah - Prince Philip would say 'Nips'
Nope , slitty eyes

It sounds like it may be another UTI , he has had them in the past , get well soon , or dont let him suffer ,
touchy subject , do you think a DNR may be in force
On a trip to China in the 1980s, Prince Philip warned British students: "You'll get slitty eyes if you stay too long." China and Japan are not the same country hehe

He's also piloted a Vulcan so that must get him some love amongst the PH massive.

Tebbit flew Meteors and Vampires in the RAF before leaving to fly for BOAC where he flew a range of 50s/60s airliners. He was never a Vulcan pilot.

Thanks. I defer to your greater knowledge.

I thought my geography beak at school had said he had trained him on them. But maybe I misremember and it was something else - he had everything from Tiger Moths and Spitfires to Vampires, Venoms, Meteors and Shackletons in his logbook.

He's more likely to BE a Vulcan rather than having piloted one.

Yes. BALPA. His brother Pete was a BOAC captain with whom I flew with on one memorable occasion.

Moved to St Bartholomew's Hospital. Does not look like much planning has gone into the move either.

Problem is as you get to 100 everything becomes a potentially serious medical condition.

Genes and luck will get you so far but something will catch up with you in the end.

Maybe the infection isn't responding to treatment, hope it's not same as m-i-l, water infection, treated with broad spectrum antibiotics, ended up into hospital with c-dif. Not pleasant, didn't respond to any treatment, just went downhill rapidly.
