Ah yes - isn't there a fake road or similar on the OS version?
I think it was a bend in the road that didn’t actually exist https://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/...

I've not read the whole thread just the last few pages, so apologies if this has already been discussed.
Tiger has leg injuries, but it looks like they got him out of the car by (badly) chopping out the windscreen and dragging him out the front. Now, imagine what that is going to be like if you have badly damaged legs, it can only make it worse.
Leaving him in place and chopping off the roof would have got him out in a much better way surly.

It's quite possible he was unaware of the extent of the injuries to his leg, & communicated as such? So they then decided to yank him out. Maybe also worried about the risk of fire.
On a separate note, probably a bonus that he injured his right leg. If it were his left leg I imagine the recovery time leading to a full recovery would be longer given the forces involved within a golf swing.

I think it would be fair for us to assume that the people at the scene will likely have known what they were doing? We're just looking at a photo on our screens.Tiger has leg injuries, but it looks like they got him out of the car by (badly) chopping out the windscreen and dragging him out the front. Quite a lot of tree in the engine bay. If you look at the road and trees he took out to get to where he ended up, and thus the likely speed he was doing in a downhill 45mph zone, I'd say the car did a pretty remarkable job of saving his life or preventing him getting really seriously injured.
Ironically it looks like he crossed the median(or a gap in it) just after passing a warning notice for 'Runaway vehicle' escape lane ahead'.......
Tiger Woods car crash: Golfing champion will not face criminal charges

Tiger Woods will not face any criminal charges following the single-car crash he was involved in on Tuesday that left him with serious injuries.
The US golfing champion was driving alone on a Los Angeles downhill stretch of road known for crashes.
His SUV hit the central reservation, crossed into the opposite lane, rolled over several times and then plunged off the road and down an embankment.
He is recovering after surgery to his fractured leg and shattered ankle.
"A reckless driving charge has a lot of elements into it, this is purely an accident," Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told reporters............continues
So driving so fast you fail to negotiate a bend is purely an accident then? Goes against all UK 'speeding kills' propaganda, doesn't it?

There have been various threads/pictures in PH where people have run out of talent and ended up in a field, backwards through a hedge, etc. Should they all have been charged then or were these also an accident? Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
