Based on all the evidence provided, I have come to the conclusion it was a mini

Well, this Genesis has certainly left Tiger in a land of confusion. Perhaps it was an invisible touch.

I'm surprised that Bentley haven't tried to force a change to the logo.

It is kind of similar...
Aston Martin are just as guilty

And Morgan...

They been putting Bentley badges on Chrysler’s because they looked similar...
And Austin:

It is a Genesis GV80 that was lent to him by the manufacturer

To be fair it actually looks better crashed
I think it looks a damn sight better than the Rolls and Bentley offerings, either of those are an affront to the eyes..

Apparently that is deliberate to deter forgers, who presumably don’t just copy an original one.
Not unlike OS maps that have deliberate errors in place to track forgeries. Iirc the RAC fell foul of this some time back with their road atlas.

Ah yes - isn't there a fake road or similar on the OS version?

I think it was a bend in the road that didn’t actually exist

I've not read the whole thread just the last few pages, so apologies if this has already been discussed.

Tiger has leg injuries, but it looks like they got him out of the car by (badly) chopping out the windscreen and dragging him out the front. Now, imagine what that is going to be like if you have badly damaged legs, it can only make it worse.

Leaving him in place and chopping off the roof would have got him out in a much better way surly.

It's quite possible he was unaware of the extent of the injuries to his leg, & communicated as such? So they then decided to yank him out. Maybe also worried about the risk of fire.

On a separate note, probably a bonus that he injured his right leg. If it were his left leg I imagine the recovery time leading to a full recovery would be longer given the forces involved within a golf swing.

I think it would be fair for us to assume that the people at the scene will likely have known what they were doing? We're just looking at a photo on our screens.

Given the nature of the crash, and the unknown extent of his injuries, I would be very surprised if the rescue crew decided to 'yank him out' through the windscreen.

Well, this is the worst marketing Genesis could ever have had for their car, that it has left him with a smashed up leg whilst wearing a seatbelt and the car doesn't look THAT badly deformed.

Plenty people have walked away from far worse crashes.

Quite a lot of tree in the engine bay.
Location of tree suggests understeer...
More like no steering at all.........(must have fallen asleep?)

If you look at the road and trees he took out to get to where he ended up, and thus the likely speed he was doing in a downhill 45mph zone, I'd say the car did a pretty remarkable job of saving his life or preventing him getting really seriously injured.
Ironically it looks like he crossed the median(or a gap in it) just after passing a warning notice for 'Runaway vehicle' escape lane ahead'.......whistle

Tiger Woods car crash: Golfing champion will not face criminal charges

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-5619324...

Tiger Woods will not face any criminal charges following the single-car crash he was involved in on Tuesday that left him with serious injuries.
The US golfing champion was driving alone on a Los Angeles downhill stretch of road known for crashes.
His SUV hit the central reservation, crossed into the opposite lane, rolled over several times and then plunged off the road and down an embankment.
He is recovering after surgery to his fractured leg and shattered ankle.
"A reckless driving charge has a lot of elements into it, this is purely an accident," Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told reporters............continues

So driving so fast you fail to negotiate a bend is purely an accident then? Goes against all UK 'speeding kills' propaganda, doesn't it?

There have been various threads/pictures in PH where people have run out of talent and ended up in a field, backwards through a hedge, etc. Should they all have been charged then or were these also an accident?
