As out earlier wearing masks are not a normal thing for humans to do, but at times they have been deemed necessary (The wearing of masks was recommended by the government when we used to have the regular peas soup fogs in the UK, but as far as I can see has not been recommended required by law until now)
When we are no longer recommended required by law to wear them in shops etc, I will just stop doing so. No fuss, drama or conspiracy theories are required.
Indeed. I wonder how many objected to wearing masks, in the last war, when there was the chance, that the enemy `might' use gas?
That was another time in our history when masks were `deemed' necessary by the government.
People didn't walk around wearing the gas masks, they carried them with them if needed.
I was pointing out that this is not the first time the public have ben required to carry and use masks by the government. As far as I am aware there is no requirement to wear masks whilst outside, only when a person goes into a closed environment where there are other people.

Are you really trying to compare a Gas Mask to a piece of cloth?

No just pointing out that a mask is a mask. The fact that the masks described above are supposedly used for different types of threat, is neither here, nor there.

I might still go shopping in my hazmat suit after masks aren't required.

ebay. however these full enclosed ones need a fire brigade style breathing apparatus set inside as they are fully gastight. You can get some that have filters and a fan on though.

Sounds pricey & a very high risk of suffocation without military training.....

When my flatmate had the plague over Xmas, I taped a large piece of paper with a red cross to the front room window whilst we were in 10 day solitary confinement. The neighbours were not amused. We had a curry delivery bloke who left in a hurry when he saw it..........

Wouldn't bother me much but it'll never happen if people can't even do it at the peak of deaths/transmissions. What chance of people sticking to it when it's no longer headline news?!

Another expert with another opinion. Plenty of those around since the beginning, all with slightly different theories concerning the future of the epidemic in this country. So many I can't remember which ones turned out to be correct, or not.

You do realise that tens of thousands of businesses would be completely unviable with never ending social distancing imposed on them? Swathes of the economy - arts, media, entertainment gone. But as long as you're not bothered that is OK. I'm alright jack.
