Genuinely really sad at this news, growing up as a kid watching F1 and Grandstand rallycross he was THE voice of F1/Motorsport for me. He had that wonderful blend of enthusiasm and infectious excitement.

RIP Great man and thanks for all the memories
You've summed how I remember him well there, I can't add to that.

RIP Murray frown
This... sad day, the man, the legend. RIP.

In the Playstation game I remember he would sometimes say "you can see visually just how close the cars are!" As opposed to seeing audibly?

Met him at Kingston maurward college open day about 10 years ago watching some lawn mower racing. Said hi and he politely signed something for me. Then I thanked him and let him get on with his day. Nice chap but Totally agree on being shorter than I was expecting.

RIP Murray

In my mind others try to imitate his style but for me Murray is inimitable, a true legend and made F1 so watchable.

Pretty much sums it up for me as well. Some great commentary over the years and he will be sadly missed.

97 laps - a good race and RIP Murray.
