I note with interest that some fringe elements on Social Media are calling for Trump to pardon Chauvin if he makes back to the White House. Somehow I doubt Trump would go there.

From my point of watching it, he seemed to be referencing to george floyds brothers victim statement,
George floyd's brother brought up that chauvin did not speak throughout the trial and he would like to hear why he did what he did and what his thoughts were at the time.
So when chauvin spoke at sentencing to me it seemed like that was what he was referring to, not evidence per say but a sort of explanation of why he has not spoken and that in the federal trial he plans to answer the things that george floyds brother had asked in the victim statement.
George floyd's brother brought up that chauvin did not speak throughout the trial and he would like to hear why he did what he did and what his thoughts were at the time.
So when chauvin spoke at sentencing to me it seemed like that was what he was referring to, not evidence per say but a sort of explanation of why he has not spoken and that in the federal trial he plans to answer the things that george floyds brother had asked in the victim statement.
