Mr Bercow suggested today’s Conservative party as “reactionary, populist, nationalistic and sometimes even xenophobic”.
The "sometimes even" was very generous of him as well!
What is it that makes them "xenophobic"?

Is this that rare case of a rat that joins a sinking ship...?
It speaks volumes that the Labour party aren't telling him to sling his hook.

And it speaks volumes that some people are desperate enough for validation that they're now singing his praises.

IIRC a recent report concluded that The Conservative Party had probems with racism, especially towards those of an Islamic faith.
The report should be relatively easy to find.

The specific problems the report identified was inconsistent handling of complaints. They did not suggest that the party as a whole was 'racist' or suffered from Islamaphobia, or that it was an endemic problem.

But you knew that... hehe

And even then, it's not exactly xenophobia.

The report said "anti-Muslim sentiment remains a problem" and that there was "evidence of discrimination" within The Conservative Party.

I didn't say the party as a whole was racist or that it is an endemic problem.
I'm not sure why you've added those points to your reply.

What's Boris going to do with Hancock?

He either has to keep him in position and condone the little st, or fire him and be a hypocrite.

Tough choice.

Hancock’s gone now IMO.
Otherwise it will be ‘one rule for one’ allegations, this was all going on during the pandemic, I think that alone, shall we say ‘lack of social distancing’ will be enough for him to fall on his sword….

Yes he's in a tricky spot when it comes to shagging the staff and people you've given jobs/money to.

Think we'll see Hancock jump (maybe with a hand on his back) rather than Boris publicly push him.

Or maybe we'll just see the usual tactic and they'll bluster through and pretend nothing happened that matters.

But Burcow is happy to join a party riddled with antisemitism.
( the reports are very easy to find)

Conservative party, xenophobic.
Labour party, nothing to see here, move along.

I wonder what our resident Johnson champions think he should do about Hancock?

Presumably they'll wait until he's done something, and then tell us that whatever it was is the right thing.

hehe

And not Boris’s fault in any way for appointing him in the first place or not getting rid of him earlier.

It's not as if Boris already knew Hancock was a useless liar.

I believe the current goto excuses are that you're in a pilot programme or you're taking part in scientific research.

I really don't see why we are discussing Matt Hancock. This is the Boris thread.

I really don't see how the health secretary he appointed, then called useless, then said he was going to sack, then left in post, then presided over many disastrous episodes in handling the pandemic, then broke the ministerial code, then left in post, then broke the ministerial code again, then left in post and then was found to have broken the social distancing rules he made up whilst having an affair with an employee........ (and breath) has anything to do with the PM.

Having affairs with women you pay for services rendered is just one the many sacrifices ministers (and mayors) make for their constituents.

Lets not forget Jeremy Corbyn had an affair with Diane Abbot and she can't do maths, although she can probably read numbers off a piece of paper.

etc..

I think you're being a bit harsh. And you haven't even bothered to mention the fact that Gordon Brown sold all our gold...!!!
