Are people still genuinely not seeing what is happening?

Every time an announcement is about to be made a new super scary variant arrives and........

How can anyone still think this is about a virus?
So what do you think is the end gsme if not about the virus? I am on the fence between the government and its advisors being grossly stupid / overly scared / up to something. However, if the latter, what?

No, it's someone selectively leaving out half the PHE datain a tweet to make the vaccine appear worse performing to further their own agenda.
Of course, without the vaccines we might have seen 200 deaths in the older age group, but it is the contradiction of it all.

Saying vaccine is 96% efficient, but a few days before lockdown announcement we now have a Delta variant that is avoiding the vaccine.

Then giving figures for how positive tests are as high as January, yet not mentioning how many tests are being done.

Talking about a 240% increase. An increase of bugger all to.....bugger all.

Why have the stopped talking about India?
Same reason they stoped talking about Florida last year, they're all dead and therefore there is nothing left to talk about...

Genuine question. What is it about?

You should read the ingredients too.

Carcinogenic material on there. When you go and read up on them they should be used in very rare occasions only due to their carcinogenic nature and where they go. And yet here we are asking children to shove them up their nose twice a week if not more.

I’m really on the fence with all this - conspiracy/ not conspiracy etc…

But every post I’ve seen from you is just a childish emoji with no context or explanation of what YOU think is happening.
If I’m being honest, you just come across as being a bit of a tit.

No idea, but it is not about the virus.

But thanks for all those who got jabbed so we could open up on the 21st and get our lives back, start to travel again, get businesses up and running. At least you wanted to believe them.

Oh, and thanks for calling everyone on the freedom march conspiracy theorists and idiots as "Why bother, we will open on the 21st."
Hmmm.

This is all just so obvious, we keep saying it, keep getting told "You're nuts." and around and around we go. At least more people are seeing each time.

This is all about the vaccine. Look at them, they're desperate to get the whole planet jabbed.

Pfizer to give half a billion away for free this year, Boris to donate 100m to other countries. Get the whole planet jabbed by 2022 they said.

Why? Seriously why?

I just learn to ignore.

I'm not saying they are trying to give anyone cancer with the tests, but under normal times we would not be telling kids to stick 100 samples up their noses each year with ingredients that are cancer causing. It was more the point that we are throwing everything we have always known to be sensible out of the window, we have lost the plot.

To be fair I havent subscribed to the conspiracy thing and i admit i have taken the rip with some posts. Against that some of the responses tend to suggest that some of the contributors are losing the plot a little
Having just slagged some of you off would point out that seeing Matt Hancock (I think it was) grinning diddn't go down at all well with me
This was when he was asked how long the delay would be 2 weeks or a month. His answer was a grinning "you'll have to wait and see dot that one till monday"
I have paraphrased the above but jeez that got me really angry. Seems to think it's a bit of banter a bit of a jolly wheez. It certainly isn't for some of the folk I know in the entertainment/ food trade
.
This grinning pratt doesn't seem to realise that it takes some planning to open up to get stock in etc
I would love to find the clip I really would

I was being serious.

Evidence in humans indicates that long-term exposure to ethylene oxide increases the risk of cancers of the white blood cells, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma, and lymphocytic leukemia. Studies also show that long-term exposure to ethylene oxide increases the risk of breast cancer in females.

My daughter was asked to take one daily for some film work, when she asked if this was safe they came back and said that they would not recommend using them regularly. It is used to sterilise medical equipment, so no idea what it does on the tests?

She said that surely she could just spit on it?

No, that would not give the right results, it needs to go in deep up the nose.

But I thought this virus was so transmittable that even breathing without a mask would send it everywhere?

Under normal times we would not be asking children to use these tests 2-3 times a week. It is just stupid.

How can they ignore the US, where they have been fully open for months in quite a few states and there has been no wave, nothing??

The point is that we are not in a situation where there is a steady/flat number of cases and therefore deaths and we are continuing to vax another 7m people to marginally reduce that number of deaths further. That situation (or a judgment on being close enough to it) is when restrictions will be lifted. That's where we all thought we were heading two weeks ago.

Rather cases are now doubling every 12 days which means if we stopped all vax now, deaths would also continue to increase (I appreciate that I'm massively oversimplifying to make my point). If however you can get 7m more doses to people (primarily 2nd doses to over 50/45's) for the sake of 'two more weeks', I think it would be a very tough call not to do that.
Your supposed 'clear logic' from the earlier post about pushing back the date you were so sure would be followed is all over the place.

We are already at 29m second doses. That covers practically all the over 50s and probably is halfway into the mid 40s. There's a further week plus to go to the 21st which will mean another couple of million done from the 40s group.

The difference between stopping all vax now and adding your 7m doses isn't going to change very much at all as those doses are going to be on an age group that will not have a meaningful impact on hospitalisations. if cases continue going up, the age group at risk even with the vaccines remains at greater risk than most of those who have not had first doses (age 30 or below excluding those who chose not to at higher ages) or those with first doses but not second doses (age 35- high 40s).

Exactly how or what marginal impact are you suggesting the delay will have other than provide political cover for the pathetic fools in government.....?

In 4 weeks time it'll be 'but the vaccines haven't had 3 weeks to take effect, so we must delay by another 2 weeks'.

I never expected social distancing or masks to go anywhere but to still have restrictions on weddings is insane, they've been messing with peoples lives for coming up to 18 months now (by the time July 21st comes), enough is enough.

I have seen the 'fact checkers' and Reuters, and the BBC and Sky.

They are full of st.

We should not be putting this up kids noses up to three times a week.

Some more epic social distancing from Biden. Not so much a handshake as an attempted kidnapping:

https://youtu.be/cjEgCMTxxv8

This chap has no concept of personal space and he is far to ‘handsy’ to pull off the idea that he is avoiding a killer virus.
