Looks like only the workers at the G7 BigWigs Ball had to wear muzzles.

That is a shocking but unsurprising photograph

So I guess the mask rule is here for good then. Can't have the elite being put off their canapes by having to look at peasant scum.

Shock collars and forehead identify tattoos next?

If you don't like facemasks...just buy a stupid sunflower lanyard instread. You get a few looks (well, I do because I'm not a fatty like most lanyard wearers) but just ignore the sheep and carry on. I hope more people do this as the mask rule is an obvious symbol of conformity for the masses.

I quite like the way a mask cocks up facial recognition though.

As a resident of the area around the G7 I'm amazed at the number of discreet extra cameras all over the place. Once you notice them or start looking for them is incredible how many are now up.

Yes, I'm sure the people working catering at the G7 summit were given that option.

Did you notice any covert security pre g7 ?

Only reason i ask is a few years ago i delivered post to a big country house where the prince william/harry attended a wedding , at no point did i see any 'new' people wandering around the area checking the venue out for security yet i assume they'd have security there.

You don't even have to do that.

I used to wear a lanyard but binned it around a month ago.

I've only been asked a handful of times about masks. Funny how some shop staff seem to think that you have to wear a lanyard if you don't wear a mask.

So would I be, if it wasn't so utterly fking sickening. Or if I thought the majority of the stupid fks I share this country with gave a toss. I'd happily take a shovel to the lot of them. s.

what country is ursula von der leyen representing?
The EU has been invited as a guest as well as leaders from Australia, India, South Korea and South Africa to discuss coronavirus pandemic and climate change. The UN have been invited in a similar capacity.

The EU has been attending the G7 since 1977.

Since it was not formed until 1993 please explain your logic

Ok, the EU and it’s “ancestor” (for want of a better word), the EEC. Either way, it’s not exactly a new thing.

So why is it there?

The G7 has guests however the EU and prior it was the EEC expect to be at the table of a sovereign state round table, either France Germany and Italy have not need to be there having seeded their sovereignty to the EU or the EU doesn't?

If the EU is the controlling politico as a federal governance nothing should be left to individual states within the group.

Because the were invited and accepted the invite.

Someone must think they have something to offer, otherwise they wouldn't keep getting invited.
I appreciate that isn't a popular position on this forum, but I am not sure that the people running the G7 show read the posts on here.

Offering as in for the normal person? Take from others work and give to themselves or make improvements for normal people
