Should I be empathetic towards men who don't want me to see them naked because I'm attracted to men? How should I behave to accommodate them?
Follow up question if you think I should pay them no regard, why are trans people so different from queer people?

Many, many men are uncomfortable with the idea of me seeing them naked in a changing room, because I am queer. How much empathy do you think I should have for them?
I find the attitude of such men rather amusing in a way, as often (sorry to those chaps now but I speak only of the ones I have met) they are rather, um, well, not attractive to the gay blokes I know...... Why they think they are sexy is beyond me !As to this discussion, I can't really add much more other than many years ago I raced in a charity race dressed as a female. I thought nothing of it heading into the male toilets and it took me a while to realise why I got the odd funny look ! If a man wearing a dress wants to use the gents, why not? If a person transitioning wants to use the gents, why not? I am not certain what difference it really makes to everyone? In fact, years ago in a pub I went to a lot we used to fairly frequently find ladies using the male toilets as we didn't have a queue for the stalls...
Incidentally, several brands have pulled advertising from Mumset, including deleting the "Mumset Rated" badge from their products, over rampant transphobia at Mumsnet. This includes Flora and Bird's Eye.

In fairness, not all Mumsnet posters share the view as I have found a 1000-post thread entitled "Disgusted by all the transphobia here" on Mumset.

Trans women are more at risk from men than women are from transwomen.
If you did 5 minutes of research on the levels of assault committed against transwomen you'd know this.
Why is this a women’s problem ?If you did 5 minutes of research on the levels of assault committed against transwomen you'd know this.
So Bio males are at risk from bio males and women are at risk from bio males right ?

What are the stats on these compared to male attacks on women ?
The chance of you getting sexual attacked are a lot higher if you are Transgender. The 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey found that 47% of transgender people are sexually assaulted at some point in their lifetime. Clockwork Cupcake said:
I'm saying that trans women have to put up with misogyny *and* transphobia, and can (and are) beaten up just for being trans. Just like black people are beaten up for being black, and gay people are beaten up for being gay.
Also, your link doesn't even mention trans women. I would suggest that trans women are as much at risk of assault as any other woman, even before you add on transphobia. So, yes, I am suggesting that they are more at risk, per capita.

118 women killed by men last year.
How many transwomen? One of the safest demographics.

I honestly can't fathom how insecure, fragile and hate-filled people have to be to be disgusted by the site of someone with a penis wearing a dress.
Unless they are in the women’s loos/changing rooms or other specific areas , or the long ago topic of this thread , nobody cares about their fetish. Edited by chris.mod on Tuesday 29th June 15:48

Why don't you Google it before being so damn rude? chrispmartha said:

He doesn't care because he doesn't see any difference. He's so obsessed with protecting women from people who do them no harm but seemingly doesn't give a st that he actually belongs to the demographic (straight cis men) who overwhelmingly disproportionately represent an actual threat to women.

Pansexual is another word for bisexual, only it's explicitly stating that you're (potentially) attracted to anyone on the gender spectrum whereas bisexual doesn't say either way. Pansexual is merely a clarification. Just to clarify, this does not imply that bisexual people ought to start saying they are pansexual "or else", or any horsest like that. Just to head that one off at the pass.

Do you expect the normal world to know what these silly terms are? I have no idea what cis anything means, I’ve never seen it before, only on this thread so why would I. It’s clearly going to be something ridiculous.
In the Information Age, with always-on internet available on your phone and your computer, ignorance is a choice. You choose ignorance. Edited by Clockwork Cupcake on Wednesday 30th June 20:23

Maybe it's best you just don't post at all then. You clearly have no interest in actually being told what Zedleg meant in his post, you're just here to be rude and condescending, which a mod has already said isn't allowed in here. Clockwork Cupcake said:
I bet you have a 100% accurate Gaydar too, right?
It's fairly likely that a trans woman has walked past you in the street and you didn't even notice. And a few gay men too.
Hahahaha, a gay man is a man. A transwoman is a bio male so hardly comparable. Maybe mr magoo wouldn’t notice !It's fairly likely that a trans woman has walked past you in the street and you didn't even notice. And a few gay men too.
