Once the legal requirement for masks in public places like pubs, shops, public transport etc is removed on July 19th, will you continue to wear one in all or most of the places that you currently have to?

No. We've done the vaccinations, there's nothing more that we can reasonably do about it. The End - or we'll be stuck in this spiral of paranoid nonsense forever more.

I stopped wearing one over a month ago...bought a silly Sunflower lanyard thing instead. I can't wait till next Monday when I can pop to the shops and not worry about the damn things!

Nope. Not 'anti' them, just can't be bothered with them so have kept activities where they are required to a minimum. I've a mask I leave in the car for shops etc and judging by the amount of make up and lippy on the inside of it, I share it with my wife. It's long overdue for the bin.

Yup, as I'll be in Wales and it's a requirement in our office in England when I go in.

If anything, I prefer the privacy afforded by wearing a mask.

Keeps your face warm in the winter too.

I'm in Wales. bks to the lot of them.

I've been vaccinated, I've done my time, and now it's time to get on with life.

i wont wear one

do we think there might be a few shops trying to be extra safe and try to insist on them?

Same.
I didn't anyway unless I was in a supermarket and that was very rare.

I'll miss mouthing fk off to everyone but I guess I'll have to go back to giving disapproving looks.

I work all over the UK so not sure. I would like to, but I know my colleagues (I use that term loosely as they are a bunch of loonies) wont bother, so theres no point I guess.

I voted "no", although I will probably keep one about my person somewhere just in case I do ever need to get in to anywhere that does stipulate their requirement.

I do foresee many jumped up power crazed door people trying to enforce the "guidance" as "law" though...

Definitely not, irrespective of how crowded and indoorsy it gets. Anywhere that insists on them won't get my business.

A definite no from me. My claim to fame is I have not purchased a single mask throughout all of this, except for proper valved FP3 items we need at work when using angle grinders etc. I have a collection of motorcycle snoods which have allowed me to go shopping, but these will be back in my bike clothing cupboard as of 19/7.
Should I be unlucky enough to need a hospital visit in the foreseeable, I suppose I will be issued a freebie mask at reception(??)
Apart from healthcare settings, where a fresh, medical grade mask is used, I simply can't see the point.

Nope. Not unless I go somewhere that mandates them. Not hugely bothered by masks but it'll be good to get rid.

Yes, probably in busy indoor situations. I've got used to wearing one, and if it gives a slightly greater level of protection against getting viruses then that's a bonus!

I won't be. I've really changed my habits during this period, and I can't see I'll be going back to shops, cinemas or public transport. I'll go to pubs and restaurants, but I can't imagine many of them will require a mask for very long.

High density indoor confined spaces with little ventilation: yes

Elsewhere: no

I subscribe to the 'aerosol transmission' view, that it hangs in the air.

Therefore, in line with WHO advice below, I will wear an N95 mask in indoor confined spaces, because I care about not getting it, and not transmitting it.

A mask made from a piece of fashionable cloth as useful as a chocolate fireguard? No.

The World Health Organisation said:
Any situation in which people are in close proximity to one another for long periods of time increases the risk of transmission.
Indoor locations, especially settings where there is poor ventilation, are riskier than outdoor locations.
Activities where more particles are expelled from the mouth, such as singing or breathing heavily during exercise, also increase the risk of transmission.

The “Three C’s” are a useful way to think about this. They describe settings where transmission of the COVID-19 virus spreads more easily:

Crowded places;
Close-contact settings, especially where people have conversations very near each other;
Confined and enclosed spaces with poor ventilation.

The risk of COVID-19 spreading is especially high in places where these “3Cs” overlap.

However, I fully understand why people don't want to wear one and I'm not gonna get in an argument with you if you don't want to wear one, that's your personal choice. I'm just going to be like lots of Orientals have been since SARS and won't mind if people mentally roll their eyes at me, as I used to when I used to see a Japanese tourist wearing one on the tube.
