Radio Scotland phone in. Caller commentating on Forbes being business friendly. "there is more to the economy than business"
Dear, dear. Next caller says all problems in govt are because the SNP can't borrow enough money!
Toarees!
I gave up Radio Scotland a while back, the only thing it provided for me was exasperation at the level of propaganda it promoted.Dear, dear. Next caller says all problems in govt are because the SNP can't borrow enough money!
Toarees!
I know a few people who have done the same, I would heartily recommend it.
Interesting that at the start of the campaign an opinion-poll of SNP members indicated that about a third preferred 'none of the above' as leader, and when the votes were counted it turned out that about 1-in-3 eligible ballots weren't cast.
Also by the end of today Scotland will have an openly racist, xenophobic bigot as First Minister.
Also by the end of today Scotland will have an openly racist, xenophobic bigot as First Minister.
The big picture though is we will get more of the same. Sturgeon had undisputed power, Brexit and Boris and still couldn't shift support for indy past 50%. Useless has no chance. No Brexit, no Boris, and only the support of half the SNP members. He is not a winner with the non SNP majority in the country. THose are the votersthat need to be persuaded.
Forbes might have been a real danger to the union. Useless isthe candidate the unionist parties would havechosen.

I have a suspicion that what happened in the hastily abandoned litigation will be getting revisited by the fourth estate as I type this....
It was well-reported at the time, but it seems that the dispute started because Yousef's wife tried to pull the 'do you know who I am' card with staff when she expected her request for a place for her child to be just waved through and not have to go through a formal application and was politely told she would have to go through the same formal process as everyone else.A formal request was then put in but it was immediately rejected, possibly because by this point the nursery owner had decided that they didn't want the hassle of dealing with a diva-ish overbearing wife of a government minister seeking to abuse their status, but the official reason given was that no more places were available. Yousef's wife then issued another false application for a child with a 'western-sounding' name and received a reply that the application would go into a waiting list should a space become available.
By this point Yousef's wife had established that the owners of the private nursery were a family of Indian Hindus and cited their 'racism' as the reason for the rejection of her child's application, using the response to the application for a place for a non-asian sounding child as evidence.
The rest is history...
I'm rather disappointed in the coverage being given to Humza
There just isn't enough of it .
I was flicking channels and Sky New cut to Humza's maiden speech. I duly shouted up for the wife to come and watch as history was made. I wasn't too happy at her lack of enthusiasm in coming downstairs. I will talk to her later about this.
Anyway the sky coverage was only for a few minutes and it could of, should have been longer .
