As a distraction to all the good news resulting from the SNP governance of Scotland I would ask for some local knowledge and advice please.

My better half is just back from a business trip to Scotland during which she was presented with some 'local' speciality produce - the square sausage and haggis were very much welcomed and have already been heartily consumed by (mostly me) us, but the bottle of Buckfast came with the challenge of trying to mix it with something/anything to make it palatable - any and all suggestions are welcome or is it best neat, quick and from the neck a la 'the street corner method'?
'Local' produce rofl
Made in Devon at Buckfast Abbey.

The sycophants on Faceache have been on the full defensive tonight - "poor Mammy Sturgeon, working so hard to promote Scotland, and caught the Covid. It's all Boris's fault for lifting the rules with America..."

fking idiots.

A Govan coffee.

It's like an Irish coffee but with Buckie instead of whiskey. Needs a lot of sugar...

A suitable mask can be found here - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1097416363/jimmy-k...

If by chance she has to be admitted to Hospital I just hope the little kretin sees up front what the poorly paid ward staff go through to keep everyone clean safe and properly looked after...they do the sttiest jobs in the hospital yet get paid some of the lowest wages.

Remembe4 her sister works in a hospital, as she often reminded us during her daily briefings, therefore I'm sure she's aware.

I woukd not wish Covid on anyone, felt the same when Boris got it. YeH, for some it's a bad cold, for others it's very serious. My best mate died from it, only 50. I don't like her or her 'politics' but wish her a safe recovery.

Pete could only catch it from sharing a space/household with Nipoleon, so I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine.

The French Embassy, however..... hehe

I caught it in late 2020 because she stated that children weren't spreaders and kept schools open.

Mrs BR works in a school and caught it and passed it to me.

First week, didn't know I had it.

Second week, couldn't get my head off the pillow.

I went from 100 mile bike rides and 10k runs to barely being able to climb a set of ladders.

Recovery is proving arduous.

You can guess where my head's at.

Longest serving First Minister. With the hated Tories in power down south for a decade. Complete control of her party and favourable reporting from most of the media. Yet no closer to a majority for indy than when she took over.

How many more years can she satisfy the luny fringe by saying indyref 2 is next year? Like a mirage it is out there in front but never gets any closer.

Without indyref 2 her career has been a total failure because everything else she has promised has failed. Ferries, trains, education, health, wind power factories, aluminium smelters, airport, Scottish energy company.

I assume it takes as long to recover from covid as it does for a black eye to heal.
Very fortunate timing.
