Seems the Scottish courts are intending to do very little about these (This is rigged instead of JSO) protesters disrupting major events https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67361718

Clearly not going for the hearts and minds of citizens.
They keep saying in interviews that they've never held up emergency vehicles. Clearly no longer the case. (if it ever was)
They are blaming the police for shutting the road.... Hopefully the police will in future just let the vehicles continue on there way.

The @metpoliceuk appear to be blocking an ambulance on Waterloo Bridge so they can blame it on a protest march going in the other direction.
Not going to link to their twitter page for obvious reasons but it is there.
I think all the beefy cops are in the gym training for the weekend mind you:

The bridge is blocked because your activists are laying in the road, as your video shows. If the people who are under arrest worked with us, got up and moved to the pavement we could have reopened the road to release the traffic.

You misunderstand- it's not about saving just one life, it's about saving the billions of other lives on the planet..................................
Except that by stopping oil, before a viable alternative, which can provide the power, food and products (including all renewable energy systems) currently only made possible by using fossil fuels, before a viable alternative has been discovered will cause the deaths of billions across the planet, mainly from starvation, but also from freezing to death in winter.
To date NO such viable alternative has even been discovered, let alone put into production, sufficient to meet the needs of the global population.
Tower, this is Parrot; requesting flyby.

Why not?... Kudos to the Met for officially calling them and, in the process, attacking one of their key means of propaganda, head on.

A# little off topic but I probably get told off if I start a new topic and the mods will point me to a thread I can't find and close it so...

This is interesting

Colchester Council passing a motion for a 20mph speed limit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpeVvVDFBpk
She's a nutter. She's spouting the usual nonsense some anti-EV posters come up with - cobalt mining, etc.
I think she raises some good points, burt even if she is a nutter, she is highlighting another council rubber stamping yet more restrictions against cars.
Also the cobalt and other EV related hazards / pollution aren't nonsense - they shake the faith of those who ignore evidence in favour of ideology, and faith responds that way when challenged by data as we know already. The fun of living in TAOS on energy and transport continues.
Apart from the fact that many new EVs don't use cobalt? Oh and that petrol refining does use quite a bit...

Roughly translated this means you have no cogent response to the truth.

More accurately translated, I'm taking the mick out of the JSO ludicrous position.

Because they are utterly devoid of any capability for critical thinking. You only have to look at what they are protesting for to realise that. Actually understanding the consequences of what they do is an anathema to them.

Probably an unfortunate case of this. Surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Ummm, why are people that are under arrest allowed to remain lying in the road? Or have a missed a point?

Yes,yes you have. In the absence of being allowed to grab a couple at a time by the scruff of the neck and drag them to the van. You need 40 police to carry 10 people to a van if they are doing their play dead but not resisting thing. That takes time.

... and why do they need the protesters to "work with them, get up and move"? That's your job numnuts. Move them!

Just drag them by the ankle if they don't take the option to walk. Any consequent injuries can be on them rather than on the police.

Next on the international oil consumer / polluter nations hit list (no pun intended) will surely be China, Russia and N Korea. Wonder how they'd get on.

It'll never happen. The only reason they protest as they do here is because they know full well that there will be no consequences. Unless and until such times as they face palpable consequences for their actions then they will only keep going.
