I suspect there are two catches,
1. She's already wealthy and doesn't really need the money.
2. Her lawyers are almost certainly engaged on a "no win, no fee" basis and that means it will be up to them to decide whether an offer is sufficient. They're probably on for something between 30% and 50% of any compensation received, so it's potentially big bucks for them and no risk for her.

I think they'll just keep the train rolling so long as they don't think they're going to lose. If you're essentially suing the British Crown you'd probably be expecting a pretty generous offer, sooner or later.

The flip side is one or more offers may already have been made and rejected. AW's name has already been trashed so that can't get any worse for him - unless he loses. AW can probably afford any amount of expensive legal fees - so he can just keep the case running unless he thinks he's going to lose very heavily indeed. But even if he does lose heavily it's not as if he's going to have to sell his house to pay the damages. And even if he was cleaned out there's sure to be a palace somewhere with a spare bedroom, room service and 24 hour police protection.
Had to sell his ski chalet yesterday. Tick tock
Crikey, how's a chap supposed to organise a straightforward skiing weekend now? cry

What does the questionnaire ask jurors? Surely it won't ask if they were abused. Even if it does ask if they have any reason to believe they might not be appropriate for the selection they could still genuinely believe they were despite abuse in their history..
All that has been reported in fine detail.
Your response was extremely well detailed, thank you.

Whatever happens to his personal finances there'll still be a nice warm bed in a palace somewhere, three meals a day, chauffeur cars and 24 hour police protection. The British Crown isn't going to run dry anytime soon.

Might be an idea to avoid tunnels though.

I have a hunch that Andrew’s accuser will want her time in court.

Nothing stopping her dragging him through the whole legal battle & being awarded damages.

There might also be some super rich person that wants to see him in court and is prepared to pay her a significant sum to ensure it goes to trial.

Also, is she wins, think of the spin offs for her on various chat shows etc.

Hell , if I had 100’s of millions just for the fun factor I’d bung her 10 just to get him to trial .

Surely she needs some backing? If PA won say what would the costs be?

Some good detail here:

https://youtu.be/vT4Pd7kwJ3c

The perjury charges against Maxwell will be dropped if she fails to get off on the current charges.

One of her attorneys says she's ready to name 8 people in an attempt to refuse her sentence

Not sure how accurate that is.

Firstly, I don't think there's a mechanism to do that deal at exactly this stage. Secondly, I read recently that she has withdrawn her objection to naming of some John Does in a document but other parties had already withdrawn their objections. I expect this is just a misreporting of that . So it's not really Maxwell doing it unilaterally in exchange for anything.

Only managed to watch half of the documentary on the ‘three’ of them last night but clearly it was all booting off on ‘orgy island’ with a lot of rich and famous .

So when is Bill Clinton being taken to civil court for settlement?

Let’s get the known big names nailed - plenty of Americans so let’s nail them.

I’m with you but I can’t see it ever happening despite the names on flight logs and allegations etc .

Welshbeef, you have been mentioned on another thread , not sure if you’re aware…..

Firstly, US presidents are not part of VRs evidence, she specifically says foreign presidents:

"Epstein, for purposes of pleasure and blackmail, had also paid Giuffre to have sex with numerous high-profile individuals, including “prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known prime minister and other world leaders.”

Why isn't she naming names? Good question.

Prime ministers and presidents have their time *very* well accounted for, if she'd really slept with them it would be pretty easy to prove they were there at least.

Yet, out of all the massively high profile people she's slept with she's chosen to pick only two to name. One who she has a selfie with and one who her lawyer has a beef with.

I'm sure that's right, but this whole thing (not specifically VG but everyone involved included the pilots) went "beyond truth" a very long time ago.

It's now a battle of credibility.

How do you know he hasn't already sorted it all out?

It's quite possible they are using PA to generate a lot of noise and they are getting settlements left right and centre.
