Seems to me that the Conservatives are now taking a massive risk by keeping Boris in No 10. Replacing him next Spring will be to late to embellish the Conservatives to the electorate, save the dyed in wool Conservatives. Cant see the ‘Red Wall’ continuing to vote for a Conservative Government next time around. The money pot is far to empty to be able to bribe them with the level up promises.
Then looking at Labour, I just could’nt bring myself to vote for them, the Shadow front bench is even worse then the current cabinet.
I'll call it now for a hung parliament next time around. Which will probably be even worse for the the country in the long term as it could result in 4 years of being able to decide nothing about nothing. Then looking at Labour, I just could’nt bring myself to vote for them, the Shadow front bench is even worse then the current cabinet.
Anyone in the mood for a nauseating spectacle, check the news footage of the Chancellor announcing his windfall tax ut-urn (sorry carefully planned and not coincidentally timed energy profit levy), with BJ by his side laughing and guffawing like a naughty schoolboy thats got away with detention from the head master. The humility has lasted about 1 minute.

Nice to see the Grrrr Boris brigade are still more frothy than a frothy thing from frothville.
Honestly, give it a rest. We get it, you don’t like Boris. But as much as you whine and whinge and make useless platitudes such as “The U.K. is diminished on the world stage because of Boris”, you ain’t going to get rid of him. You can have your say in 2024.

People said the CON/LIB coalition would be a disaster but I really miss those days given the clusterfk of a government we currently have.
The Con-Lib coalition that spawned the Brexit vote, that split the country in 2 and has led to 6 years of whining?fking hell, those are some rose tinted spectacles.
Boris IS the product of a political class that so badly misread or misunderstands the electorate why should any if them be held up as bastions of virtue?
Cakegate is par for the course.
Edit to add....
For those getting cute on the dates, the referendum legislation dates back to 2013, it wasn't cooked up in 13 months. Had the government coalition and rest of parliament not played silly buggers with abstaining etc - we might have had a clearer idea of the clusterfk that followed.

A dose of reality that all this pointless moaning will force him out of office?
He’ll do that himself abzmike said:

'his' windfall tax? The same one that was widely castigated when Labour suggested it? That one? It really is farcical, the whole lot of them biggbn said:

'his' windfall tax? The same one that was widely castigated when Labour suggested it? That one? It really is farcical, the whole lot of them As it appears to turn out, 91% of the levy will be able to be offset against environmentally friendly investment by energy companies, so the handouts will really be funded almost entriely by public spending, not the levies. Which again begs the question why now, and not earlier. Answers on a postcard.

Quite impressed by Tobias Ellwood's words during PMQ. Setting his stall out for a leadership bid?
He is one of the few with decent morals and that I would actually trust.Sky said:
A Conservative MP has apologised after attending a "Christmas party" for 27 guests, but insisted the event was "fully COVID compliant"

Do you not have Xmas gatherings where you work then? I do, and often a lot of work discussions happen at them.

Last year and the year before we didn't as Boris made it illegal... And very little work gets discussed at them. You must be really funa t parties if that all people want to talk about with you.
