Good piece by Ruth Davidson.

Ruth Davidson: Tory MPs should get rid of Boris Johnson’s rotten regime — right now

Oh and I believe we had another u-turn today?

RD is quite correct in her condemnation, but who to replace? She doesn't want the job, albeit Ruth would make a better fist of being PM, so who else?

The list of Tory candidates willing to step up is quite short, and those who are willing maybe aren't the best to sort out the current mess?

Well thank god that's over.

Maybe we can all concentrate on the important stuff now.

Big fan of RD, I could even vote Tory if she was given a free rein and could steer the party in the direction of her brand of tactile conservatism...it would be a big step for me but if it was for the common good yup, reckon I could do it.

Does anyone still believe he was in ICU with covid? I don't and never have. More likely a hangover or alcohol poisoning by the sounds of it.
I think that if it was not covid it would be almost impossible to cover up. NHS nurses are not the type to keep quiet over something like that...
Disagree, I think patient confidentiality is an over-riding concern of majority of NHS medical professionals. Which is more likely, the boris told the truth, or that boris told a lie to suit his agenda?

Are you sure you are not a Russian bot?

Boris can't even cover up eating a slice of cake without half the room taking pics to sell on.

I quite like her too.

I'd like to see where she stands on major policy, but wouldn't be upset if she were to change her mind and put her hat into the ring.

That said, I have little faith in any politicians at the moment.

Intersting to hear today is the day a windfall tax has been announced. This will surely push many tory suporters over the edge as they rounded on t'other lot for suggesting the same thing, many claiming it was pointless, counter intuitive and unworkable.
Utterly stupid idea, and the implementation of it is even more stupid than I expected.

I couldn't be arsed to look too hard for the "Rishi next prime minister" thread as it's that numb nuts that should be castigated on this one. As noted before, if you love the idea of Boris being handed his cards, pat Rishi on the back.

Well, you do seem to be struggling with the concept of hyperbole as a rhetorical device, and not for the first time. If you are autistic and struggle with literal thinking, then I apologise.
1/10 for the Russell Brand impression. Must try harder (I suspect you hear that a lot).

"Hyperbole as a rhetorical device"...so you were posting bks after all. If you had a point of any substance, you wouldn't need to resort to hyperbole old bean.

Nobody has ever asked me that before. But well done on the forum cliche double whammy of tired blackadder references and bot accusations.

Double mental if so (and it would not surprise me).

When I keep banging on about them all being the same, I didn't quite mean this far the same. So much for not voting Labour last time out.

Well at least you won't have to keep drinking your own piss, eating grass and wearing 15 jumpers so you can turn the heat off now. So maybe Sunak's policies aren't all bad...
