Truly, Nadine was the nadir. How the f did we get to the point where she was a SoS?

There will be a lot of quesitons to answer when the history books are written about this dark period on our history when we elevated numpties such as her.

Interesting as the reporting earlier was that Dorries, Sharma, and Johnsons dad wouldn't be getting peerages.

Wonder whether the reporting was wrong.

Maybe, if peerage was blocked, she’s throwing her toys out of the pram, to stir it up for Sunak.
If they lose that ‘safe’ seat

Well the rumour mill (by which I mean political journos on Twitter) was that she wasn't getting one as the Conservatives didn't want to risk a by-election.

Charlie Falconer puts it quite well.

^^ Surely she now has zero chance of getting one? She’s is of no use to anyone anymore by resigning with immediate effect and has no cards to play.

Probably now crying on the toilet now that Boris didn’t push harder for her to receive a peerage and has learned a valuable lesson that Boris doesn’t give a st about anyone but himself and will drop you like a stone to matter how loyal you were to him.

Still, kinda funny though.

Grumps.

Wonder if she'll be kept on by GBeebies now she's effectivley in the wilderness...
Expect her to pop up on Strictly or in a Celebrity jungle soon.

ETA - Oops, she's already done the jungle... well, plenty more outlets for her undoubted lustre as a celeb.

fking enormous LOL at Dorries.

6 hours ago she said she won’t stand down early because she didn’t want to trigger a by-election.

6 hours later she does exactly that.

You love to see it.

Source close to Sunak says that the list is final - there will be no additions - and that he has not given any assurances or made any promises to Boris Johnson

It's a list from a man who will always be remembered for having been forced to resign in disgrace by his own ministers.

Sunak seems to be trying to keep his distance from it if you believe the journos reading of what his spokeperson has said.
