He will be indicted more than once. He will lose politically a lot.

But if you expect actual real consequences, this thread will still be updated daily until the day he croaks on his gold toilet.
I have no doubt he will never spend a day in jail, I’m hoping they really hit him where it hurts.

Financially and show how poor and corrupt a businessman really is.

Oh and house arrest with no golf allowedhehe

Or internet access. The last thing we want is more time spent ranting incoherently on the internet.

I'm still betting that, if he doesn't die beforehand, he'll be convicted but claim temporary insanity (or some similar "I'm can't be held responsible for my actions" defence) and be remanded to a hospital or supervised house arrest at worst.

He's already been destroyed financially as no-one will lend him money any more and the taxman is closing in.

I think he's already on the mental decline and lets face it, he was never that with it to begin with. Institutionalising him would be the most politically convenient way of dealing with Trump, instead of becoming a martyr, we get to watch his descent into a wibbling vegetable.

It's his kids that'll have to suffer for it though. Not that I have much sympathy for Jr, Eric and Jared.

You think they are not just as culpable? OK, maybe not Barron but the others are in it up to their necks.

Yep, hence I have little sympathy for them (and didn't mention Barron, not a believer in sins of the father).

I'd say especially Jared, of the 3 he seems the most astute and aware of what is actually happening.

OK. When you said that they would have to suffer I read it that you felt that to be an injustice rather than getting their just desserts.

My mistake.

This is serious. So effectively Attorney/Client privilege doesn't apply as there were further crimes. His lawyers will need lawyers who may need lawyers.

BREAKING: Special Counsel Jack Smith has seen enough evidence to conclude that Donald Trump committed even more crimes by intentionally misleading his lawyers in the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation, according to new reporting.

I used to read this thread every day. Sometimes several times a day, but I have become completely disheartened by the whole thing. I don’t think America, allegedly the greatest country on earth, has the power to hold this person to account let alone the will.

Their system was just waiting to be abused. Far too much power in the hands of one person who has the duty to stuff the highest court in the land with political lackeys. What could possibly go wrong?

and a political party so desperate for power they would do anything, and accept anything to get it. Then having got it, they were forced into a situation of coverup and obstruction to hide what they did, effectively allowing trump to commit more and more crimes, sell us policy for personal profit, ethics violations etc, and forced to turn a blind eye.

Thats then continued as people like McCarthy have been forced to do deals to stay in power, because decent Republican politicians resigned or didn't stand again, allowing the radicals like Boebart, Greene to get in, allowed those 'deplorables' to have a voice.

It was a perpetual out of control trump train to the complete loss of any decent values within the republican party, which culminated in trumps insurrection attempt to stay in power, the complete breakdown of US democracy, encouraged and promoted by some in the GOP and even to this day, those involved are still obstructing, muddying the waters. Along the way they've perverted the FBI, the DOJ, the US postal service, Border Control, sacking decent people and putting lackeys in to do their bidding. Even dragged Fox news to the gutter with them.

The acceptance of George Santos, because they need his vote.

McConnell. I know he's had a fall, broken a rib, but anyone heard from him? The deplorables are in control, Marge, Jim Jordan, Cromer with McCarthy just allowing anything as his deal to be speaker, trying desperately to muddy any waters, to throw distractions, knowing the many trump crimes and investigations are coming to a head, because in part, they are worried about what will come out about their part in trumps crimes, but also a loss of power.

They're desperate to throw mud again to see if any sticks, because they know they'll be screwed.

And at the end of the day, it's all about money. There's so much money in US politics, so much abuse, that thats the root of the issues, hidden foreign money rooted via Pacs, the NRA, or people/companies pushing agendas, buying the politician that will do their bidding
Boebart went from being skint and exagerating campaign expenses to being worth £40m in two years. Greene from a Qaon promoter to 'deputy' speaker and on committees with donations flooding in. No one know this better than trump, but it'll be his greed and ego that will be his undoing

edit: and if by magic - say her name and she appears - todays GOP

Guardian reporter Hugh Lowell is saying that Joe Tacopina who was rolled out by trump to do countless media interviews on how trump was innocent, on how it was a personal payment because he was extorted, was not actually engaged as a lawyer on the Trump legal team for the Stormy Daniels hush money case. His actual lawyers are Susan Necheles and Alan Garten, and so they are claiming he cannot be sidelined because of his previous communications with Stormy Daniels in 2018.

https://twitter.com/hugolowell/status/163837088868...

This follows CNN reporting that communications between him and Stormy have now been given to the Manhattan district attorney’s office by Stormy's legal team. They are claiming she gave Tacopina detailed information when she was seekign a lawyer to represent her.

We never knew about this because it was a secret ruling, until trump opened his mouth again. All leaks are coming from team trump.

trump has lodged an appeal against the judges ruling against Evan Corcoran crime/fraud exception, playing for the delay again. Part of the complaint is that Judge Howell is a judge appointed by Obama so is against trump.

The judges gave trumps team until midnight to make their filing and for Smith’s team to respond by 6 a.m. Wednesday to the Trump team’s demand for a longer stay of Howell’s ruling. They aren't having it.
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/21/trump-cri...

Edit: trumps ranting about this becoming public, which he made public, and ranting about ABC reporting on how he misled his lawyers. Of course he's panicking because Judge Howell ruled that Corcoran has to comply with the grand jury subpoena for testimony on six separate lines of inquiry over which he had previously asserted attorney-client privilege and he has to give records relating to trump's alleged "criminal scheme," all handwritten notes, invoices, and transcriptions of personal audio recordings.
https://abcnews.go.com/US/sources-special-counsel-...

trumps campaign put out a statement with trump ranting that 'they only attack lawyers when they have no case'
erm - nope the judge ruled trump had dragged Corcoran into his crimes, so they wanted his testimony...

LETS JUST HIGHLIGHT THIS - THERE ARE TAPES - CORCORAN HAS TAPES.
after all the issues trump has had being recorded by many people - there are tapes again.

there were just the same few people outside magalago as well, so much for the armed ring of supporters that some were suggesting.
