New York Attorney General Letitia James has subpoenaed the General Services Administration for information about how the agency selected trumps business to lease the post office where his D.C. hotel was and the false information he used to lease it...

The same place he didn't sell when he became potus, that was the subject of many conflicts of interest as parties booked rooms there to curry favour with trump, often never using them. He's trying to sell it now as his businesses lose money.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/02/01...

Oh dear, it was Ivanka who submitted the proposal whilst providing false financial information...

More trump witness intimidation?

Now why did Mark Meadows backtrack after providing documents to the trump insurrection investigation? Could it be to do with the $1m given to MArk Meadows Conservative Partnership Institute by trumps "Save America" PAC, the largest 'donation' it made.

Now we know why trump was ranting about election stealing, prosecutions, issuing statements about Pence

He knew this story was coming out, that trump was directly involved in the election fraud.

We already knew about the draft executive orders to three federal departments for them to seize voting machines in states trump lost, but the new evidence and witness statements show trump directed Giuliani to seize them, after Barr refused to use the DOJ to do it. Also more about the involvement of Ex army colonel Phil Waldren (the 38 page powerpoint presentation man)and others in trumps close circle.

The idea of using the federal government to access voting machines in states that Trump lost was the brainchild of retired Col. Phil Waldron and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, but was also pushed by Powell and Byrne

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/01/31/us/politics/don...

So thats Giuliani and others completely implicated, along with trump.

Edited by Byker28i on Tuesday 1st February 06:30
and now NYT are reporting that trumps involvement is being investigated by the trump insurrection investigation, with the plan being fleshed out even more from what we know now.

Waldon and Flynn's plan was to have the director of national intelligence John Ratcliffe, declare that China had manipulated votes from trump to Biden, at which point trump invoked national emergency powers and would seize the voting machines. We know they had 3 draft executive orders for 3 different departments to do this and we know Politico published the plan (dated 16 Dec)
https://www.politico.com/f/?id=0000017e-920d-d65f-...

Again all about refusing to allow the votes from states trump lost and this is why Powells lawsuits were full of Chinese manipulation, it was all preplanned to cast doubt over the results
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/01/us/jan-6-panel-...

Pences aides are obviously telling the investigation a lot

The timings are all interesting. The WH meeting we know of was 18 Dec but Barr announced he was resigning on 15th Dec, it had all gone too far even for him, so there was more happening before that, plans were well under way as per the 16 Dec plan.

Edit: Barr is obviously going to be a person under pressure to flip...

Eric trump complains to the press, says trump org have filed a third suit against NY AG claiming It is “third-world” prosecutorial misconduct and saying her viciousness is truly embarrassing to the great state of New York.
https://twitter.com/EricTrump/status/1488686387180...

This is after Letitia James went after the records of how trump org falsified financial records to get the Old Post office to turn it into trumps DC hotel, site of many ethics complaints.

Bless, Eric knows daddy will drop him right in it to save himself...

Edit: Eric made it onto Fox to complain to Hannity - looks like he's been crying

found a better resolution - with Christo Aivalis ripping into Eric

trumps gone on Newsmax to repeat his offer to pardon his insurrection co-consiprators, claiming they are patriots, witness intimidation/obstruction in plain sight. He then attacks Lyndsey Graham, the man who sold his soul for trump, claiming he's a RINO

Ah Maddows show last night claimed that trump org inflated the value of Ivankas apartment to obtain a lease for the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC. Ivanka had an option to buy it for $8.5m but trump valued it at $25m

We also know it was Ivanka who negotiated the lease for the hotel with the federal government and negotiated a loan from Deutsche Bank to pay for it,

No wonder daddy has rallied his troops to protect his favourite Ivanka

Well that went well. Gaetz and Green's PAC, called "Put America First," has gone bust, no money left, with Gaetz campaign making a 'donation' to allow debts to be paid

The article also points out how the sex with a minor and sex trafficking allegations are affecting Gaetz ability to raise money

Patrick Byrne's book on how trump lost the WH is being serialised. Interesting to read, remembering that Byrne was heavily involved in trying to help trump keep power illegally...

https://www.deepcapture.com/2021/02/how-djt-lost-t...

...especially the bit where Powell tells Giuliani she sends him everything via email and text, when Giuliani complains he's not kept involved. The Feds have all his devices now, so will have all of that...

Meadows was involved in this all, interestingly after the Guardian teaser yesterday, was mentioned in the NYT piece as not being the one who let Powell and Flynn and Byrne in the White House.
Meadows meanwhile, having tried to be clever and turn over some non incriminating messages to the trump insurrection investigation, was caught out by them and told in no uncertain terms that he had violated the Presidential Records Act by failing to turn over those incriminating communications he conducted on his personal devices and personal accounts etc 'BUT HIS EMAILS'.

Apparently he's now trying to find them to avoid being further charged...

In my opinion, that one word was the final nail in the coffin of her ever getting elected, very similar to Gordon Brown’s “dreadful woman” comment.

Really emphasised how she came across as uncaring and unsympathetic to the views and concerns of the average American, even if some of them were deluded. It might have helped if her and team had tried to address those and tried to convince them that they were bonkers theories spread by a would be dictator rather than make herself appear even more elitist than she was already appearing to be.

She wasn't wrong though, although I can think of much more appropriate descriptions...

Whilst you are obviously correct and my view of 'them' and what I may call 'them' could be even worse than you, calling the opposition supporters and voters Deplorables wasn't the smartest move. She should have known better - in this day and age where even the smallest thing can get blown out of all proportions and turned into Fake News (depending on which side of the fence you are on,) why couldn't she have said "the extremists on both sides" or tried to foster some sort of middle ground for all the 'reasonable ones' in the GOP - they all think they are correct and reasonable BTW?

And to think we were so close to never having Trump nor his clusterf**k raid on Democracy!

History is unlikely to be kind to either of them in time.

Notwithstanding the Victor gets to write the history books, I don't believe Trump will get in again and for that, I am grateful. Biden doesn't exactly instil confidence but at least he is less of a danger than trump on so many levels.

I think the amount of stuff coming out now, fleshing out the entire plan to steal the election, will mean trump won't get elected again, but it's why the GOP are fighting so hard against it, refuse to say anything, as it'll make them unelectable next time.

Those plans to invalidate 7 states votes that trump lost, the faked electoral certificate, the lawsuits, plans to seize the voting machines and all the people involved, before we even get to the final throw and the planning behind the 6 Jan, using the maga mob as a distraction whilst the session was disrupted, the votes captured and destroyed (probably again so the faked ones could be used).

There's so many people going to be in so much trouble, all leading back to trump. Unfortunately I think they need to work bottom up, but they appear to be halfway there, as can be seen from the many pleading the 5th or refusing to answer the subpoena's.

If Barr flips, that could be interesting, although I'd rather he didn't get immunity for all the dirty jobs he did for trump.

Thats if he's not jailed/bankrupted first for his tax fraud, or his Georgia election fraud attempt

You would like to think so, but a drop of "Fake News", a dab of "they're all the same" and a FoxNews soucent of "the Dems are Woke Marxists" and the deplorables will vote trump/Rep and the race will be closer than it should be.

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command".

Their is no hope for these idiots.

Ex-Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, who tried to overturn the election for Trump, is meeting with the trump insurrection investigation. He'd previously tried to claim executive privilege before the court overturned that...and was facing contempt charges

Wonder if he'll plead the fifth as well, or if he's starting to realise the game is up and he's expendable to trump?

Edit: Oath Keepers founder Stuart Rhodes is also testifying.

Another lawsuit against the trumps, this time by Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman who has filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani and Trump allies Julia Hahn and Daniel Scavino, alleging "intimidation and retaliation" for the attacks he faced when he testified in the first impeachment hearing.
