trumps responded to Espers new book, calling him of course 'weak' his favourite put down, and says because of it he had to run the military all by himself. He also tried to created a nickname for Esper...failed.




Esper went on 60 Minutes and said that illogical proposals were coming from trump regularly that he and with other high-level officials, would have to put a stop to.
He also went on to discuss the 25th amendment, saying he never thought trump reached the threshold.



Nor did he feel the need to speak out at any time, but to save it all for a book

This included Mark Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson and Jeffery Clark adviser Ken Klukowski,

Of note are the hundreds of pages of testimony provided by Hutchinson who had detail of the phone calls and messages to/from Meadows, which as we now know was at the heart of trumps insurrection organisation, as well as trumps meetings themselves.

I wonder the same. trump and his closest have shown throughout the last 6-7 years that they have no intention of following the normal accepted practices, have no morals and believe they are above the law. trumps deputies also realise just how deep they are in so the only thing they can do is not cooperate. It looks fairly obvious that was the message that went out to all after Meadows made the mistake and handed over his text messages. trump has a long history of witness interference.

However, they now have all the testimony of their aides who are cooperating, the Oath Keepers are falling over themselves to give as much evidence as possible and some of those closest to trump who think they kept just far enough away have already testified, Ivanka, Kushner etc...

The Meadows/Bannon contempt charges have done that, so it's obvious that route works, so I'd have started subpoenas for those we know were directly involved, Brooks, Biggs and McCarthy, then contempt them as well when they refused. See how many scrambled to provide evidence then.

Giuliani is only going because he's now skint and hasn't the funds to fight more legal challenges.

Maybe they are worried about looking partisan before the midterms and think the public hearings will expose their actions anyway?

trump is still fighting the subpoena from NT AG James, now claiming the equivalent of the dog ate his homework, by saying that his mobile phones are missing, he doesn't have a computer etc. The computer bit is true, trump famously got his aides to print out emails so he could dictate his answers which they then typed out, we know this from Hope Hicks and others.

It's disgusting that the networks are continuing to give mercenary sts like Esper airtime; they should make an agreement where they draw lots and one network interviews bellends like him with a collective list of questions to deny them advertising for their stty ghostwritten cash-in books and ensure they only earn one appearance fee.
