Far right internet troll Tim Gionet, known as baked Alaska, just dropped himself in it. He was due to pled guilty to a trump insurrection day misdemeanour but told Judge Emmet Sullivan he was innocent and wanted to go to trial but thought he would face felony charges, somethign the prosecutors have denied.

So he's off to trial instead of a slap on the wrist...

The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee have made a criminal referral of trumps Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

Their oversight uncovered that the Trump administration’s Department of the Interior overruled local career professionals and reversed a longstanding position on environmental review requirements, just weeks after politically connected donors made nearly a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of contributions benefiting the Trump campaign.

The case against USEIP, a group led by an ally of Mike Lindell, allegedly sent armed members door to door in the process of their "investigation" into voter fraud, calling themselves a "Voter Integrity Committee".

Colorado of course, where theres been two cases of gop election officials tampering with voting machines, desperate to prove trumps Big Lie, again backed by Lindell.

New filings in the Oath Keepers case show Stuart Rhodes was going fully down the Qanon believer route, thinking that they could seize US videos of congress pedophiles and use them so that trump could blackmail people to stay in power.

I must admit I am a little in awe of these people. How they can keep faith in such a batst mental set of contradictory “facts” and believe they have a coherent story… it’s quite something to behold.

With all the slapped wrists for Whote GOP voter fraud, the case of Crystal Mason still continues. So far she's lost her job after she was indicted for illegally voting, was sent back to federal prison for several months for being charged with a crime on supervised release and so nearly lost her home to foreclosure if her kids hadn't stepped up.

Texas supreme court have ruled that AtheTexas appeals court must reconsider its decision to uphold the five-year conviction

Bidns authorised an 8th set of records to be handed over to the trump insurrection investigation.

The National Archives will now hand over around 23,000 emails and other attachments to the panel investigating the Capitol riot, although it is unclear what documents will be included in the latest batch

"The President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified."

RE Musk letting Trump back on to twitter.

I'm quite intrigued to see how this will play out and am going to put a prediction that there will be some kind of situation regarding those little messages twitter likes to append Trump's posts with - "This is untrue, see fact check."

Musk has got his own messiah complex going on and knows that making Trump (and also the part of social media that the press relies on to generate stories) dependent on his platform gives him a lot of leverage.

<><><>

Trump's twitter ban deprived him of his foghorn at a critical moment but giving it back to him now may not be as beneficial to Trump as it was in the past. If all he can do is bang on about lefties and how they stole the election from him then he's going to be running in to a headwind, he's going to be asking every republican voter to endorse 6th Jan and a candidate who acted as Putin's 2nd best.

Giving him his foghorn back might give Trump the opportunity he needs or might be the worst thing that ever happened to him, time will tell smile

McCarthy and the other famous four have been subpoenaed. They've refused to testify so far, mainly because they keep popping up in helping plan and contributing to trumps insurrection day.

Jim Jordan of Ohio, Scotty Perry of Pennsylvania, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Mo Brooks of Alabama.

Agreed. I'm hoping that it'll give him enough rope to hang himself.

I'm not so sure the deplorables/crazies/trumpettes whatever need another source of disinformation.

Remember it's not just trump thats banned but others such as Alex Jones, Infowars, Steve Bannon, Mike Flynn, Sydney Powell, all trumps Big Lie and Qanon conspiracy pushers, then Ron Watkins (8chan and Qanon pusher) and other Qanon pushers

Federal prosecutors have begun a grand jury investigation into whether classified White House documents that ended up at Trump's Florida home were mishandled, according to two people briefed on the matter.

Prosecutors issued a subpoena to the National Archives to obtain the boxes of classified documents.
The authorities have also made interview requests to people who worked in the White House in the final days of Trump's presidency.
https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/12/us/politics/jus...

Remember trumps recent claim that they weren't classified because he'd declassified them but forgot to tell anyone/update the classifications...
Remember also that it took 8 months before he returned them as he fought it all the way

The real investigation should be who was he trying to sell them to and what was in those documents

The report is out on the meatpacking industry’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and how trump and team trump helped block worker protections

"...meatpacking companies engaged in a concerted effort with Trump Administration political officials to insulate themselves from coronavirus-related oversight, to force workers to continue working in dangerous conditions, and to shield themselves from legal liability for any resulting worker illness or death. "

Resulting in over 59,000 workers infected and at least 269 deaths, just in the workers recorded, not their families or other contacts

trump appointed lackeys excluded career professionals from attending meetings, kept no records or destroyed them

Ah Texas GOP, whipping up that hate again.

Congressman Troy Nehls
Baby formula should go to Americans before illegals.
https://twitter.com/RepTroyNehls/status/1524751901...

The Gregg Abbott joins in - of course it's all Bidens fault

98% of baby formula is produced in the US, because they won't pass foreign imports such as from EU (protectionism?) then the Abbott plant shut down in Feb due to contamination that was linked to two baby deaths. Then of course any that was coming into Texas over the border was affected by Abbots border delays/inspections to deliberately cause shortages for his political gain.

GOP - the party of manufacturing dirt

trumps DC hotel has now closed with the lease being sold for $375m, which means trump can payoff the $170m he owes Deutsche Bank that was due...

Not only was it the sit of many ethics claims due to people booking rooms but never using them, but it still lost $70m whilst trump was potus...
It's been massively losing money since trump lost the election, with reservations greatly down. No need to curry favour with trump now...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2022/05/11...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trum...
Eric trump is claiming the hotel was hugely profitable, that they've sold it for a huge profit.
So why sell something thats hugely profitable, that was a large grift income when trump was potus. trump must be desperate for money $100m loan, selling off his 'profitable' hotel, but also, would you sell off that successful grift is you were thinking you would win in 2024.

I think it's another sign he'll grift his supporters up until he has to declare he's running in 2024, then won't.

trumps Real Estate appraisers Cushman & Wakefield, who gave him the inflated figures he wanted are in trouble and are appealing a court order that requires them to turn over property valuations from five appraisers who worked on trump properties

AG James wants the documents about the appraisals for the trump National Golf Club near Los Angeles, 40 Wall Street in Manhattan, and Seven Springs, a 212-acre estate in New York's Westchester County," because the five appraisers have made repeated misstatements in the documents...

Interesting that the Guardian Reporter Hugo Lowell thinks that this is also a deliberate trap. That if the GOP refuses to comply with the subpoenas that would set a precedent that Democratic members of Congress could also refuse to comply with subpoenas if Republicans win control of the House this fall and open false investigations into them as they've promised for retribution.
