More about Rudy's pat on the back. He's getting a lot of flack now for getting the man arrested, claiming he was violently assaulted.

NY Mayor Eric Adams is asking that Giuliani be investigated for falsely reporting a crime

The NY Times article pulls no punches

Ginni Thomas has responded to the Jan. 6 committee's official request to testify. Looks like shes figured out just how much trouble she's in, just after Eastmans phone was reported as being seized...

Remember back on 17th June she said: “I can’t wait to clear up misconceptions. I look forward to talking to them,” seems thats not true, she doesn't want to talk

Her lawyer is asking "the Committee to provide a better justification for why" her "testimony is relevant to the Committee's legislative purpose,"

He lawyer is trying to claim that her emails to Eastman were nothing, he texts to Meadows were nothing... nothing to see here

It's easy to concentrate on trump, but with Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony yesterday we should recognise thats Meadows hung out to dry as well.

Everyone who said trump was guilty has testified, and that includes some trying to avoid charges, although some like Kushner and Ivanka seem to have been caught out lying. Everyone claiming trump is innocent has refused to testify or claim the fifth...

It's too late for the trump insurrection investigation, but I wonder now if people will be trying to get plea deals by turning evidence over the the DOJ investigation.

It's also obvious why that hearing was rushed yesterday. Huchinson has been getting witness intimidation and they wanted her testimony on record asap. We knew from the transcript presented by the committee, the witness tamperer claimed to be doing so on trump’s behalf, so I look forward to the denials, before they are named in the next hearing...

Edit: Oh it might have been related to Marge.

Washington Post reporter Jacqueline Alemany told MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

The reason why her testimony has been so closely guarded is because of massive security threats in the last hearing, She heard Marjorie Taylor Greene asked for a pardon, and you can only imagine what that does in terms of elevating her name and potentially causing far-right extremists to levy some of these credible threats that have come her way.

trumps response to yesterday was to release a frantic and somewhat incoherent statement in which he claims he barely even knows who Cassidy Hutchinson is, and then goes on to claim she’s seeking revenge because he wouldn’t take her to Florida with him.

Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who was barred from overseeing elections after she was indicted on charges of tampering with election equipment and official misconduct, finished third in the GOP secretary of state primary in Colorado.

Anderson took 44.7% of the votes; Mike O’Donnell took 28.8%; and Peters secured 26.5%,"

Peters is of course claiming election fraud, the numbers have been flipped and she actually won... Welcome to trumps GOP and every future election when a trumpette loses

AH this came as Eastmans given up his fight over his phone records yesterday. He was trying to stall this in court for months

Despite all of Giuliani's campaigning, his son Andrew didn't win the GOP nomination for governor of New York. Tough luck Giuliani, no chance of those charges being dropped now...

Lee Zeldin won

Here's a thing. Whilst the GOP are denying lots of things about trumps secret service, he never lunged for the wheel, and agents have not testified, there is a precedent set by... the GOP in their attempt to indict Clinton over his blow job.

In 1998, three agents protecting President Bill Clinton were compelled to testify before a grand jury about Clintons affair with Monika Lewinsky as he was being investigated by independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr. The Clinton administration fought the move for months and it went all the way to the Supreme Court, who ruled it could go ahead.

the ruling said that the policy arguments advanced by the Secret Service are not strong enough to overcome the grand jury’s substantial interest in obtaining evidence of crimes or to cause this court to create a new testimonial privilege. Given this and the absence of legal support for the asserted privilege, this court will not establish a protective function privilege against giving testimony.

So the GOP already have set precedent for secret service to testify, so lets have them all in. They would have been close to trump all over 6 Jan and leading up to it... also his meetings with Putin, everything.

“Ketchup on the Wall”.

Surely that’s going to become the everyday slang/street expression for anyone who was previously “losing their rag” ??
A tantruming trump, some recall,
Could not accept losing at all.
Intent on a coup,
His rage only grew
And ketchup dripped cold down the wall

There's so many good ones here

They seem to be saying something different (on this part - which was second hand reporting), and willing to testify:

"Since Ms Hutchinson's testimony, a source close to the Secret Service has told CBS News that both the agent and driver travelling in the car with Mr Trump were willing to testify under oath that the former president did not physically attack either of them and never attempted to grab the steering wheel."

As I said, I don't think he did, but she didn't testify that he did, just that she was told that. I'm opretty sure trump would have thrown a tantrum, but to actually do anything physical... biggrin

Also it's all the GOP/trumpettes have to hold onto, they haven't gone after any of her other testimony.

trump wanting to lead the mob to the Capitol? Guess they've dropped that claim now they were BLM, Antifa, especially now that over 840 Maga Mob have been charged/jailed...

Nothing about trump's plan was to go to the U.S. Capitol with the maga mob, enter the House, and in a grand manner, declare Congress to be adjourned, and declare martial law?

More on Fox NewZ wanting Desantis rather than trump.

Fox Host Bret Baier discusses trump. "This testimony was compelling from end to end."
“He says she’s lying. Cassidy Hutchinson is under oath, on Capitol Hill. The president is on Truth Social.”

It would be a struggle to find dodgier characters than these anywhere on the planet.

Flynn was asked in a January 6th deposition 'Do you believe in the peaceful transfer of power'?

Flynn:
'Plead the fifth'.
