Try Google.
Not sure why you are talking about Christian rights here. The Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments are what grants rights in the US, not the Church.Donbot said:
There's more to religion than control. We are a Christian based society after all.
If you read of the effects of religion in this country, and we all should as it is, after all, politics at its most raw, you'll realise that christian-based is a bit of a homily, there to make people feel safe. The christian church was invented at the first council of Nicea. It took bits off various jewish sects, particularly the one we call followers of jesus, and twisted bits, lopped lots off, and revised some of the content. The reason was all about control.
There might well be more to the various religions and sects than there was back in the day, mainly because of the demands of the secular, but it does give lie to any suggestion that we should base our lives on what is in the NT. It's certainly neither the word of a god, nor gospel. Therefore we should not be controlled by the 613 (other totals are available) commandments. Don't lie with another man is given great emphasis but we all enjoy a bacon sarnie and casually throw another shrimp on the barbie.
I think we all should be taught how the various christian sects have modified life in Great Britain, to the present day. European religious history should also be taught, together with that of the middle east. Only that way can we understand the mishmash and mess they got us into. We should all know that the 4th crusade sacked a catholic city and one leader rode his horse, withers high in the bodies and blood of fellow christians, to the great satisfaction of the western pope.
It's all about control.

They are two different things. It's not like laws or commandements by god are consistant.
There are no commandments by god. There are no commandments from God, they are all from people.

Ah, simpler times, when the President of the United States had riot police clear protestors with rubber bullets and tear gas for a photo op. The same President when asked what his favourite part of the bible was couldn’t/wouldn’t quote a single part of it. Gods gift to the people of America. Worse things have happened. Trump didn't start it.

Society is about control. Everything is a form of control otherwise there would be anarchy. The west, and by extension democracy is based off a Christian belief system. For good or bad.
And as stated is increasingly moving towards secularismThis is a retrograde step.

Eh? You're changing history quite a lot there! The 4th Crusade the one that went completely renegade. They sacked a catholic city as you said, because the Venetians asked them to do. That was because they couldn't afford to pay for boats to Jerusalem without the Venetian help. For doing that they got excommunicated, not lots of praise from the Pope... (They also went and took over Constantinople afterwards at the request of a deposed Byzantian prince, and then sacked it when they never got the promised wealth from there too, from which it never really recovered). Abortion will be illegal immediately in 13 states, and soon thereafter, it will become illegal in about half of American states. Like in the pre-Roe days, this burden will be felt primarily by the poor (the wealthy can travel for medical procedures). This will be the new state of affairs, regardless of the fact that a majority of Americans are pro-choice and that there is not a single state where support for a federal ban on abortion has more than 30% support.

Abortion isn't illegal yet and nothing has been passed. Hopefully common sense prevails.

Slim to none. And slim just left town.
There are places in the US that are very backward. They don't represent the US as a whole though.
