Just a quick one.

Anyone have any idea why 2 of my mates model 3 Tesla show traffic lights and what colour they are on the screen an mine doesn’t?

Mine is a 22 plate 2 months old, both of the other cars are 6 months old and a year old.

I have looked at all of the options and can’t find anything that mentions it.

It’s not a problem at all just wondering why.

It’s a setting called “full self drive preview” or similar

You need to have the Full Self Driving package, and if you have this it's called something ike "traffic light visualisation" in the options. It looks cool but isn't difficult to get fooled e.g. when sitting waiting for a right turn filter when straight is green. Maybe if FSD was in operation the car would know it was in the right turn filter lane....

I've seen lights indicated on screen with little left/right green arrows before; so it definitely can recognise the difference in the right conditions.

That's true, but if you're sitting in the right filter lane and the ahead lights change to green, the car will still give the gentle "bong" to remind you the lights have changed - even though not the one's you're waiting for. I'm sure it won't be long before it works over here - 3 months maybe 6 months definately.....
