Thanks for the explanation on the tariffs staying with the UK exchequer. That seems pretty straightforward, and does look at last like a truly tangible benefit. God only knows why Bandit et al can't post theirs like that?
You are a massive proponent of the EU and didn't know what happened to these levies?

And then think others are being mean for not repeating stuff that is already posted in the other threads on the topic that you couldn't be arsed to read?

As per Bandit, Sway is too generous with his time biggrin
It isn't a tangible benefit, taxes are now at their highest in (my) living memory, so great, the exchequer gets to keep a bit of revenue but at the same time increases taxation.

it isn't a Brexit benefit, it's a bit of PR bullst that brexiteers hang on to disprove that everything related to Brexit is going exactly as expected (by the experts that told them life would be worse).

So basically you want someone to create a digest for you, specifically tuned to give you the answers you want with none of the debate/argument/whatever that happens around it?

Maybe, rather than start new threads and get them closed down, you should hire a butler to read things for you and tell you the bits you want to hear?
No, more a case of a thread to give me the answers you want without all the pointless drivel. It really shouldn't be a hard ask, but instead we've got 1,500 pages that may contain a few worthwhile points, but they're lost in the mire.

Do you not think it strange that when I started a thread to specifically ask for benefits without all the argument and insults it was Brexit supporters who decided to pile in with said insults?

If you honestly believe that Brexit is delivering significant benefits, then a thread outlining those benefits without lots of drivel getting in the way of reading about them should surely be a thing of beauty to you, so why on earth would you be so angry at the mere suggestion of it? I just find it bewildering!

Your closed thread is here, it has 32 posts. Would you care to highlight the insults?

Kermit, give it a rest will you?
You say that you want to understand the benefits of Brexit and people have pointed you to the thread where this is covered in detail with some great contributions from both sides of the argument.

You say that Sway just helped you (on this thread) understand a new benefit around customs tariffs and the fact these now go to HMG rather than to the EU coffers. If you had been following the Brexit thread, you would have seen Sway just restated that information on that thread last week. You could have captured that knowledge days earlier without it having to be repeated on this duplicate thread.

Please do explain how tariff duty burden has increased?

Because it hasn't. Not even close.

Aren't you one of those who wants massively more public sector expenditure (improved NHS, better for pay barristers etc?).

Where does that money come from?

Do you think taxes wouldn't have gone up had we not left the EU given the macro circumstances we find ourselves in outside of EU matters?

If you can dismiss this as PR bullst, how come you don't dismiss as PR bullst all the money the EU spent in the UK...?

It's ALL political bullst. Which simply serves to confirm to me my reasons for wanting out were justified. You don't agree. That's fine.

You were shut down on your thread by the mods for the very same reasons a few on here are outlining. Sometimes it's not everyone else, you know.

As for "insults"... Those of us who have been interested in the subject from the outset have set out our reasons for voting as we did. It's all in the other threads. Most manage without a butler to filter out the noise. You don't seem able to.. Again, that doesn't make it everyone else's problem.

If you were really on a path to enlightenment you'd read those threads and engage constructively. You aren't doing...

I did start one trying to get people to actually give clear examples of Brexit benefits so that people who wanted to learn more actually could without having to wade through hundreds of pages of irrelevance trying to find them, but sadly the Mods decided that people would be unwilling to provide objective answers, so they shut it down. Who knows? Maybe if Sway had got to it before you, it might still be open with people posting objective benefits in it?

yes
He didn't ask for a digest. He asked for a single example.
