Which means if you’re unlucky enough to live in a state where the crazy white bible thumpers are in charge you’re fked. And that’s about 50% of the country.
The other point here is, what are the conservative right going to go after next? Gay marriage? Gay rights?

Insanity.
That sounds as insane as those mullahs in Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia etcInsanity.

Very sad to hear. Land of the free and home of the brave. Unless you’re a woman.
Yeah, because being vaccinated is exactly the same as being forced to incubate and give birth to a child conceived by rape.
“My body my choice” no longer exists. Last year was the start of a slippy road.
I very much doubt that the choice to abort a foetus is a particularly easy one for many women either but at least they do have that choice in civilised countries.
Maybe it’s more similar than I thought?
I think the new ruling is disgusting, I just find the hypocrisy amusing. No one should be told what they can / cannot do with their body. With the injections it was under threat of becoming ousted from society.
Nice to see Trudeau getting a social media kicking.

Can you choose whether to have the vaccine, yes or no?
Can women in some states choose whether to have an abortion, yes or no?

Big <snip> but Jesus fking Christ BabyShark (I won’t continue with the rest of your ridiculous username) conflating the covid vaccination with what has just been essentially repealed in the US with regards to a woman’s rights?Seriously, have a think.
A really big think.

Imagine the state telling a man what he can do with his body, there'd be a carnage.
Didn't they already do that with the vaccine mandates for government employees and the attempt to get private companies to follow suit.....Wasn't that funny.

I know! Imagine thinking people will take personal responsibility and use birth control before having sex in this day an age. It’s insane. Beati Dogu said:

Leave your jobs, schools, friends, home etc? A nice idea, but will be pretty much impossible for many.In general, the US does have a much more mobile workforce and its actually common for many people to move for job, career, education or just for the sake of it. So yeah, the option to essentially shift to a state that is more inline with your views, such as this, is valid. However, this is where it gets very complicated.
For the educated or experienced, this isnt too much of a problem. For those on minimum wage, and statistically these are the people who have limited access to healthcare & womans reproductive care, this isnt an option. And when you apply that type of demographic across the US with the more restrictive states, suddenly some shocking statistics come into play.
I am not going to play the race card here, though it is relevant - my point is that this is a poor person issue, which disproportionately affects the black community. It is these poor people who cant move, are more likely to become pregnant and are the least prepared or able to care for the child that are the most affected here. Think more single parents, higher proportion of school drop-outs and entire generations of people unable to get that leg-up that they need. And for those who are religious? Yeah, it keeps the money flowing to the churches preaching doom, gloom and the end of days.
On the other hand, those who do have healthcare or work for a company who will help, access is still available. Either move / relocate or obtain out of state care and they are good. While it is not common for many Americans to travel to a different state for healthcare, this has been steadily rising for years now as various states limit options. This is just another step - and remember that employers and insurance providers will want to provide service while staying in the law. I wonder how long it will take before an insurance company gets sued by someone who cant get life saving care due to a pregnancy? You can be sure that they will do everything to avoid that!
So yeah, its an option - but for a limited number of people. Social / employee mobility is a thing here, but its these people that arent really worried. Its all of the millions who dont have healthcare and cant afford to move or obtain out of state care. It keeps the poor poor and in their position. I know I might appear to be stretching things here, but the US can be a brutal place.

There are plans in some states to even go after women having abortions, even if they're not resident in that state
It was mentioned on CNN earlier that passing through a state, getting pregnant while there, and then seeking an abortion later could land a woman in trouble. How they'd prove it on the other hand...
Subpoena your cycle tracking app data, obvs. Which is mildly terrifying. It was mentioned on CNN earlier that passing through a state, getting pregnant while there, and then seeking an abortion later could land a woman in trouble. How they'd prove it on the other hand...
