There are rumours going around from impeccable sources * that an election date could be announced tomorrow Monday 29th April.
I urge anyone reading this to vote for a soft Labour type government. One that interferes/ assists its public. The type that has a socialist type background.
Whether you choose Labour or the current Conservatives is of course a matter of personal; choice.

Call an election tomorrow, what signal does that send to voters on Thursday?
Have a mare on Thursday, call an election right after, does that confirm that they are doomed in the GE?
If he does either is there time for the party to go into the election with a new leader?
Having gone on to now, it would seem to make sense to me to carry on until year end, when the economy will be rocking, weekly flights to Rwanda, Labour tripping over themselves in the queue. Of course, he could grow a backbone and tell anyone trying to oust him that they’ll face an immediate election, and take their chances.

If he announces the date tomorrow then it starts to reframe the question in voters minds from "do I like Sunak/Conservatives" (which is a clear no) to "do I want Labour to run the country instead" (which the answer is less clear but still not yes).Call an election tomorrow, what signal does that send to voters on Thursday?

Announcing the date just after the election will be a mistake IMO and it will make him look reactive and weak or opportunistic if they do better than expected.
It also means that any plotters are a bit stumped because everyone will start talking about the general election and not them.
Why in the name of hell would you announce the GE after the May elections? Whether they went well or badly for you? That would be one of the dumbest tactical political decisions you could possibly make. You would have to be the thickest f

The only way an election could be called early is if Rishi wanted to give a two fingered salute on his way out the door but given how gutless and sycophantic he's been this far it's very unlikely.
