Saddened by this. Shocked. I'd watched a few of his more recent videos, including building a car for his daughter, who is a similar age to my own. He seemed like a good guy enjoying his life.

I guess dying doing whst you enjoy is a better way to go, but 55 is no age. Rip.

That's a shock. He was a very talented guy who did some good things for the petrolhead world.

What sad news. Also heard the actor Jeremy Renner has been seriously hurt in a snow ploughing accident. I guess as they're slow moving, one doesn't expect there to be serious accidents.
Yes, sounds a nasty one with the plough going over one of his legs. Apparently his condition is stable though.

Had just seen him post on instagram completing a car project with his Daughter.
Huge respect for him seemed like he loved life, had done really well in business , and just enjoyed living having fun.
His Gymkhana videos really were the first viral car videos I had ever seen and loved watching them.

RIP Ken Block.

I bet St Peter got a shock when someone arrived doing doughnuts around the pearly gates.

He was always entertaining to watch and seemed like a genuinely good guy. It's sad to hear, I just hope he didn't suffer.

Snow-based machinery is always dangerous stuff...
Similar to Quad bikes - eg. Rik Mayall's accident.

Block always seemed to be living the petrolhead dream, finding a niche and monetising a brand so you can have lots of fun hooning and building cool cars with your mates.

55 no age at all. I did know he was co founder of DC shoes, goes to show make some money and you can live out your dreams.

Very sad, what a guy. Got within a couple of feet of him in the paddock at Rally GB a few years back where he was happily signing Autographs and chatting with fans.

I'd seen his IG stories just before finding out, which felt very eerie indeed as they are still up.

Really enjoyed the content with his daughter recently, talented girl.

'Icon' is perhaps overused but the guy was one of them, did so much for motorsport.

So sad and very harrowing seeing the story he posted with all the snowmobiles. Huge loss, his daughter really looked up to him.

That's really sad. Always enjoyed watching his videos and as said, he seemed like a genuine bloke living his dreams. One of my favourite videos is where he goes to Ireland and has a look around Enda Garvey's rally car collection and they then go out for a drive in two of his Ford RS200's.

Horrible news to wake up to.

His Gymkhana videos are the only time my kids have shown any interest in motorsport and cars.
