Very clearly thanks: the amount of aid the Ukraine has received has significantly reduced and Russia is stalemated in Western Ukraine.

See how it works?

Erm, they were both attacks on Russians. wink
So what?
So zero real threat to the UK.
It's OK, russians doing russian st with chemical warfare agents in the UK is totes on fleek, fam. You really will continue to argue black is white regardless of evidence.
We certainly did nothing of any significance about it at the time and would have continued down that road if Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine, so your point is nonsense, "fam".
PNGing a load of spooks is not nothing, and May persuaded other NATO states to do similar. At the time the UK military was running Operation Orbital to help Ukraine defend itself against russian invasion.

So like I said, nothing of significance.

A targeted assassination of a Russian spy that accidentally killed a British person because someone went fishing in a bin is no real threat to the UK, no.

In the UK in the past 30 years (1987-2016), 58 people were known to have been killed by lightning, that is, on average, two people per year.

So lightning strikes are a much bigger threat to Brits than the Russians. Should we spend £70bn combating lightning strikes?

If not, why not?
I think we have different understandings of what an accident is.

To repeat my previous point, it really does take some quite spectacular man maths/mental gymnastics to assign the £60bn we've spent subsidising increased energy costs caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, to us supporting Ukraine.

Presumably the people that have been massacred, raped, tortured and stolen in/from Ukraine don't factor into your value calculation either?

How else would you describe someone unknowingly killing someone after finding and retrieving a disguised but deadly weapon in a bin?

The Russians thought they'd adequately disposed of it, they were wrong. It was certainly negligent and illegal, but it was still accidental.

And that £60bn is not man maths, it was a direct response to the unaffordable energy prices as a result of the sanctions we imposed on Russia after their invasion of Ukraine. If Russia had pulled out after 3 days they would have been lifted. So how are they not a cost to us in support if Ukraine?

Honestly, the victims in the Ukraine don't factor into my calculation. The sad fact is that raping and murdering is a part of being human, we've been doing it for thousands of years, probably over a hundred thousand years. We ignore it everywhere else it is happening in the world, why is the Ukraine different?

And as above, it's not our responsibility to sort out everyone else's problems, nor are we even capable of it.

People need to wake up to the reality of 21st century Britain. It is not the 19th century anymore, no matter how much you think it is.

I'm not the one making fallacious arguments in favour of libertarianism.

Neither am I.

Fallacious is simply your opinion, which isn't worth the paper it's not written on.

And I suggest you look up the definition of libertarianism.

I'm not convinced it's stalemate, but if it is, it's only stalemate until Ukraine run out of Weapons.

So if you're arguing to maintain stalemate we need to provide weapons.

See how it works?

Peter Zeihan explains in his last vid why France might be taking the lead here. At first view I thought he'd gone over the top. Now I'm less sure.

The comments are brilliant!

It's not personal, but I hope the lack of a visible parachute means Russia are short one more air crew.
