Very tough planes the Yak 52. Mate used to have a half share in one. Was often used by a Russian aerobatic pilot who was a total nutter - superb pilot but made you wince to watch it thrown about.
My Dads friend has one at the local flying club, its a beast, incidentally I saw it up for sale on Facebook recently also.

Suspect he has a bad case of Karma or maybe Dildo of consequence injuries.

He really is an awful example of a human isnt he ?

Plenty more where that came from, hopefully he isnt having a fun time, be nice to believe in some kind of afterlife where turds like that get eternal persecution and pain for their crimes, and being Putins boot/anus cleaner.

Dont wish misery or misfortune on many people but I will make an exception for him.

Fingers crossed it all kicks off in chechnya if he does die. The more chaos for the Russian state the better.

Imagine if instead of a lovely victory parade through Moscow, a few tanks, some phallic missiles, goose stepping soldiers and sailors, a fly past of some warplanes, etc. on 9th May, someone blew up a big bridge...

Now that's what I'd call a celebration!

More depressing news from Ukraine. Russia just used cluster munitions on a University in Odessa, possible war crime - just one of many.

There's no possible about it, unguided weapons into a civilian area is a war crime.

Infuriating.

This, sadly, is true. It'll be a win as far as the Russians are concerned.

So true. Putin to go to trial. Not a chance in hell.

Gena Elfimov? - lovely chap - many happy memories of going base over apex down the sky in the 52 with him back in the day.

Well yeah. But Putin's future is bleak whatever happens.

He can't retire, he can only leave this job in a box. When he becomes frail, he's ****ed, probably before. Being raped and beaten in prison is a very real possibility in the medium term.

A warm clean cell in the Hague, medical care, food, no abuse is probably better than his actual end will be.

I suppose the downside of all that is that nuking the world will be pretty tempting for him when he becomes more frail.

Won't happen. He holds 'the West' in contempt. He'll cling to power, and remember that it's pretty absolute, until the end. They genuinely believe this existential rivalry bullst.

No, it's not that clear cut, ever.

And whilst many nations have signed up to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, it doesn't constitute a war crime if they are used.

It's got nothing to do with the submunitions and everything with dropping unguided weapons on or near civilian buildings with civvies in.

The only positive thing about the university cluster thing is it might make some of the west sharpen their pencils a bit. What a horrific bunch of turds

We - the west - didn't do a great deal after Mariupol or Bucha.

I can't see this being much different tbh.
