How many male to female trans athletes are there out there ?
This all gets a lot of airtime and I can see why, but are their legions of trans women wanting to compete in various sports ? I have heard of a swimmer and a weightlifter, are there many more ?
There's such a minuscule amount of Trans Athletes well trans people in General, the coverage this issue seems to get from some quarters is ridiculously over the top. This all gets a lot of airtime and I can see why, but are their legions of trans women wanting to compete in various sports ? It must be horrible as a Transgender person to see the issue being used as culture wars/political football.

Given how minuscule the situation is then it’s quite remarkable just how well the very, very few trans women who compete have done to reach the absolute top of the female categories of their respective sports. Only if you're easily persuaded by people asking disingenuously over-simplistic questions.
It's not really over simplistic is it?There are two valid definitions of woman:
1) The one your doctor would use.
2) Someone who self identifies as a woman.
Now age, that's complicated.... Very few people *feel* *exactly* their age.

None of whom are near to even close to the 'very top'. Their fame comes from being trans. Other sportswomen at their level are mostly unknown.plenty said:

"Hubbard is ranked 7th in the IWF’s women’s +87kg division"7th in the world looks pretty close to the top to me.

Other sportswomen at their level are mostly unknown.Rachel McKinnon is a Canadian competitive cyclist and transgender rights activist who won the UCI Women’’s Masters Track World Championship for the women’s 35–44 age bracket in 2018, becoming the first transgender world champion in track cycling
Tifanny Abreu (born 1984, Goiás, Brazil) is a Brazilian volleyball player. She was the first trans woman to play in the Brazilian Women's Volleyball Superliga. Before playing in women's championships, she competed as a man for Superliga A and B in Brazil, and other championships in the leagues
They all seem fairly top flight to me

Or just have a whole new category.
Even easier just take sex and gender out of it all together and have one category for XX chromosomes and one category of 'other'.Nobody is excluded or put in any gender/sex category, and everybody is happy.
...and it 100pc captures the people who definately didn't get a massive testosterone boost in development without even needing to consider their gender.
Obviously we still need to consider Paralympics. If someone identifies as disabled in some way....
We are over complicating this.
"The simple truth is that transwomen are male and therefore should compete against other males."
"transwomen must now compete against their own sex and rightly so. Whatever our blood testosterone, we continue to enjoy male advantage over females. I should know; I am one."
