There are many things that are clearly gender specific that have nothing to do with biology.
Please divulge. I suspect we might be going to my point about stereotypes but I still want to know..... These are clearly things that are associated with gender, and are not biological. So to try deny gender is a thing seems pretty ridiculous.
So women = skirts, makeup and high heels?
All just stereotypes, you lot aren't right!

They are just some things associated with gender. I could name hundreds more for both genders.
It’s really not a controversial statement that you think it is.

Does it?
It’s meaning is the opposite of trans, seems to me the people that really dislike the term cis are those that really don’t want the word trans to exist.
It might seem that way to you but to others, the people who want the term CIS to exist are those that don't want the word female to simply denote what it has done for thousands of years, a female. It’s meaning is the opposite of trans, seems to me the people that really dislike the term cis are those that really don’t want the word trans to exist.

Why are you so hell bent on apologising for men competing in womens sports? It’s meaning is the opposite of trans, seems to me the people that really dislike the term cis are those that really don’t want the word trans to exist.
My opinion is that if the governing body of that sport deems transgender people shouldn’t be competing in certain categories in their sport then that is fine and up to that governing body to make that decision.
That doesn’t mean Gender doesn’t exist and Trans People don’t deserve respect or not have the right to exist.

Yes, congratulations on the word salad, but specifically do you think that a trans man should be free to compete in womens sport. A simple yes or no will do it.My opinion is that if the governing body of that sport deems transgender people shouldn’t be competing in certain categories in their sport then that is fine and up to that governing body to make that decision.

Its you that want Trans Men to actually compete in women’s sports ;-)
t’s not a simple yes or no answer, I've outlined my position a few posts up, wether you think its word salad doesn’t really bother me.

now you've done it. Trans man... is that a man who says he's a woman or a woman who says she's a man?chrispmartha said:
It would probably help if you actually tried to use the correct terms so we know what you are on about.

I think you're just blowing smoke tbh. It's a very simple answer and if you cannot decide if it's right for a man should compete in a womens sport then you're probably not the best person to debate anything with. As for 'using the correct terms', biological man, biological woman. How about you get your head around that simple concept in respect to gender Its you that want Trans Men to actually compete in women’s sports ;-)

I’ve outlined my position on sport, what I've said is really not that controversial, which part do you disagree with?

And you’re a great person to ‘debate’ with. You want a yes or no answer, presumably because it’s simple, well sorry life isn’t simple.

That men shouldn't be allowed to compete with women in their sports. I’ve outlined my position on sport, what I've said is really not that controversial, which part do you disagree with?
Very simple.
It's also remarkable that individuals who identify as trans routinely moan about everyone not respecting their preferences. Despite their preferences contravening the fundamentals of sport.

Ive said im fine with governing bodies deciding its not fair for trans people to compete in certain categories of sport, which part of that do you disagree with?
chrispmartha said:
The fact that you can’t even use the words trans women speaks volumes and shows you’re not actually up for a grown up ‘debate’ on the issue at all.

Because a trans woman is a biological man. Is it not?Ive said im fine with governing bodies deciding its not fair for trans people to compete in certain categories of sport, which part of that do you disagree with?
