Katie Price discrimination
Discussion
For KP to even get a quote from any Insurer is already treating her more than fairly with her record.
It is often said that sometimes Insurers give out a price that looks to most law abiding drivers to be completely ridiculous and unaffordable and in effect says they don’t want the Insurance order but in her case they may get a horrible fright when she accepts it.

Whilst on the face of it her claims are spurious and she is correctly being charged a lot of money for her insurance based on risk, it is interesting that she would be charged less as an author, presumably still disclosing the same driving and criminal history. Is an author who keeps breaking the law and crashing cars any less of a risk than a model who does the same? It's obviously not discrimination, but an interesting question none the less about where the primacy lies in determining the key risk factors.
Also, just for balance, as well as saying some silly things about discrimination, she did also appear to say this too:
'I am on the road so it is what it is. I shouldn't have done what I did, so you have to pay the price. So in a years' time I will get the car I want and until then I am grateful.'
She might have been advised to say that of course, but one can hope that she has at least that basic insight, and gratitude, as well as optimism that she will have a year free from further incident. We shall see!
Insurance companies will have risk stats based on occupation. Its why they ask, and adjust accordingly. If it didn't impact the risk they wouldn't care. Also, just for balance, as well as saying some silly things about discrimination, she did also appear to say this too:

That's why there are millions of other factors and metrics they don't ask about.
Of course it's an oddity when you have multiple jobs, or can describe your job in multiple ways.

At the insurance co. they call it the 'Katie' price.
This deserves some recognition and a 98elise said:

She is a total waste of space and oxygen.
6 bans, love. Repeatedly caught for driving drunk, drugged and without insurance. That's why your insurance is expensive.
The only discrimination here is that you've repeatedly dodged the jail time that any ordinary member of the public would have been slapped with given the same record.
Vile individual.

Inflated prices for insurance make it unaffordable for her, which causes dissatisfaction and resentment. This raises the important question of fairness and accessibility of insurance services for all. Insurance companies need to be more impartial in assessing risks and setting prices to prevent discrimination and ensure a level playing field for all customers. We hope that Katy's situation will be carefully considered and she will find more fair and affordable insurance options.
You loose your access to a level playing field when you're repeatedly caught drink driving or driving without insurance. Why should someone with that driving history be entitled to "more fair and affordable insurance options"? She's clearly a massive risk to not only insurance companies, but other road users. She shouldn't be anywhere near the wheel of a vehicle and insurance companies are recognising that. She made her bed, she can lie in it.

Having seen bits of her Mucky Mansion, I don't think she makes her bed very often She made her bed, she can lie in it.
Has it passed everyone's notice that she already has her next living sorted by having her daughter's pictures plastered all over the media. I'm not sure why KP doesn't just becomes a resident of Turkey it would save the rest of the public being scared out of their lives seeing her bandaged face every time she pops over there.

The question I wonder about;
Is there a common driving offence she hasn't been convicted of?
Or to make it easier - she hasn't been convicted of in relation to an incident involving at least 1 written off car...
I mean she was arrested for a driving offence just a couple of days after complaining that noone wants to insure her...

It’s heartening to know that our responsible, conscientious media outlets continue to peddle their low rent TV based on this woman’s life, presenting her as some sort of role model and completely ignoring her repeat criminal offending. Nice. Her face appeared on a montage on Channel 4’s app while I was watching some substantially better programming (Guy Martin!), it seems their contribution to her ongoing celebrity status is based upon her mental health struggles and having PTSD. Perhaps that explains her apparent addiction to committing significant driving offences. Poor woman. It’s a good thing our noble judges are so very understanding and repeatedly fail to send her to prison as the rest of us might expect to be if we did the same.
