What if your view is that the Israelis are acting like the Nazis - is that anti Semitic or just fair comment?

I'm unequivocal on this. It's anti semitic, full stop. Unacceptable as part of any protest and I'm astonished that any police officer could think anything else.

Have you ever come across a person is authority that 'acted like a Nazi' ?

IMO the word doesn't necessarily mean gassing Jews and starting a World war..it can be descriptive of a type of behaviour.

That said, I wouldn't walk around with a Swastika to show my disapproval of Israel.

Just to show how silly this kind of whataboutism is, here’s a video of a pro ukraine protest in London from last month.

Nobody dressed in terroist uniforms, they really haven't got the hang of it have they.
And not one Labour MP present.... strange that.

Being a fking moron isn't illegal and I don't think we should criminalise people for being thick.

Exactly this-I can’t believe anyone could argue otherwise. The metropolitan police embarrassing themselves yet again.
I’m not Jewish but I am deeply offended by the swastika being displayed on our streets ,as should everyone else be ffs. There can be no argument about it, it’s abhorrent.

It would be good if it was illegal though...PH would certainly see a drop in user traffic!

I’m somewhat surprised the woman held it together as much as she did when he dropped the ‘context’ bomb.
I know it’s now all dismissed as whataboutery but had I been in the same position the temptation to roar ‘I’ll give you six million fking contexts you st for brains pork loin’ would have been almost irresistible.

The met is in a right old mess. From watching his wibbling and somewhat passive aggressive coffee drinking I don’t think they realise they are in the process of losing the confidence of the 150,000 Jews who live in London.

She did what everyone seems to do these days - get overly emotional for the video camera knowing it would be seen by millions.

The Met put a statement out saying the person had already been arrested...unsure if true though

A Nazi style symbol presented in such a way to suggest Jews should be gassed.

On the other hand if the signage said something like' The Israelis are behaving like the Nazis' I could be convinced otherwise. Clearly such messaging would be designed to cut close to the bone/be offensive as it were - but it could be valid comment if you feel the Israelis are behaving badly like the Nazis were.

But the issue isn't "how the Israelis are behaving", is it? The issue is the displaying of a Swastika as part of a protest: the symbol as opposed to some wordy banner. And I repeat: there is no context where a Swastika is an acceptable symbol to be displayed as part of a public protest. None. It is a symbol of hate and has no place in our society. I'm amazed that some coffee-drinking police officer, perhaps with a degree (ah yes, the modern face of British policing) could possibly think otherwise.

Signage? It’s a swastika ffs-what does a swastika say to you?
How can you possibly think it has “ context”?

Hmm. So performative emotionalism as opposed to, y’know, actual emotion given the actually horrendous connotations associated with Hm… let me think… the use of a swastika to protest against the Israeli state?

I *cannot* for the life of me imagine how she was able to calibrate her performative emotion. A truly epic performance.

fks sake.

I could write an extremely long diatribe about the multilayered clusterfk which is

a) the behaviour of the protesters
b) the response of the police
c) the post you have made in response

Which would dwell at length on the utter bizarro alternative reality we appear now to be living in, but I just genuinely am too sad inside to write it.

How far we have fallen. In just about living memory 6 million Jews were ushered into Gas chambers in the most industrialised effort of mass murder in all of history while under that flag, and the retards and others are connoting this to events in Gaza now. After a live cosplay by Hamas on October 7th.

And meanwhile the police are soft pedalling because of ‘context’.

Words fail me.
