WP reporting on trumps fraud trial rage against Judge Engoran and AG James isn't helping his lawyers plans for an appeal, that appeals court judges don't take kindly to trial participants wildly attacking judges and the judicial system.

Alina Habba has been on Fox news saying it's all a political hit job against trump and 'the kids' did nothing wrong.
Kids - Don Jnr is 45, Eric is 42, Ivanka is 39
https://twitter.com/i/status/1723727900594090437

LOL, the Defence is going to call Don Jnr as their first witness.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-jr-new-y...

Pointing out it'll be hard for Don Jnr to provide any sort of defence for trump org, as he spent last week claiming he knew nothing and relied on the accountants

Edit: Cohen pointing out trump is throwing his kids at his problem, sending them into a perjury trap to try to save himself.

Forbes now starting to report trumps mental decline, pointing out his cofusions recently, including mistaking Biden for Obama at least 7 times recently
https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2023/11/12/t...

WP called out trump for his veterans day 'vermin' rant which he repeated at a rally, pointing out his rhetoric is similar to that used by Hitler

The New Republic did the same

Whaaaat? Noooooo! He can’t do that, there’s like laws and stuff as other people keep telling me when I suggest Trump will do stuff like this.

Why aren't you paying any attention to how Americans are voting in the real world? Trump is not getting another go. He is a dead man walking in political terms. And possibly in terms of his health too!

He may well be and I hope he is. However, the press keep giving him a leg up, he keeps getting coverage, he’s going to get the Republican nomination. He will win a load of States, because they’ll vote for anything that’s not a Democrat.

Presidential elections are not automatically the same outcome as other votes, they’re similar, but rarely follow the same path exactly. Unlike many on here, I’m not as convinced that he’s history, because he’s still front and centre every day on every news channel. He will hopefully get trounced again, until that moment it remains a possibility.

yes

The press love to build people up (it sells papers) just so they can cut them back down (sells more papers) to size.

What we're seeing with the Forbes and Washington Post articles is the start of the cutting back down, I think we can expect a lot more in the coming weeks as the rest of the media jump on the trump bashing bandwagon

Jeff Bezos owns the WP and has always been anti-Trump in his stance. Plus Trump hates Bezos, probably because Bezos is a genuine multi-billionaire and successful businessman.

NY Times is still pushing team trump stories though, using Maggie Haberman.

Fox are easing themselves into trump again, having more of his team on to promote the lies and false rhetoric. You have thought after being burnt for almost $800m...

He is "news" I suppose. I find the whole cult thing puzzling. The closest we have in this country is the seeming willingness to forgive the incompetence and grifting of Johnson. It's a much smaller scale and I don't think Johnson sees himself like Trump does but I still know friends who I believe to be intelligent people who think that Johnson was hard done by. They're not about to try to storm the HoP but would probably vote for the buffoon again even ignoring his uncaring callous disregard for their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

He can plan all he wants, but the president simply doesn't yield that sort of power, and he will never be president anyway.

His plans to lock up Clinton turned out to be hot air as well.

You keep believing though if it makes you happy smile

Your last sentence says it all. I have zero sympathy or support for Trump. My posts couldn’t be much clearer, but like others it seems you’re ignoring that and painting me as a Trump supporter simply because I’m considering a few things. Firstly, that there is a possibility he could be re-elected. Secondly, because I’m considering his previous approach to the law and his actions. If by some miracle he does get elected then he will be driven exclusively by vengeance. Last time when he was elected, he was doing so without any sort of track record in politics, now he’s got one and it doesn’t make for good reading.

It’s easy to dismiss him and the GOP are doing their best to make themselves totally unelectable, there will be lots of States where they will win by default and others they have zero chance in. The swing States matter and apathy from Democrats, or towards Biden this time could make it close. Yea, the youth are registering and that’s a great thing, but it’s not a guarantee of victory.

My guess is pushing Trump and his allies attracts more viewers which generates more advertising income.

How many times has the US interfered with countries that it considers to have dictators in charge, democracy is being threatened, etc.? If the president suddenly pardons himself of proven crimes then goes on a rampage of revenge, how long before the CIA 'sort this out'?

Interesting question- CIA, forces, national guard etc oath of office is to protect the constitution, not the president.
Theoretically they should ignore him unless they decide he’s acting unlawfully wrt the constitution, in which case they should take whatever action is necessary.

With the exception of Warren G Harding I doubt anyone has really considered it until trump came along.

New book claims trumps lawyers Lauro and Blanche met with Jack Smith 4 hoiurs before trump was indicted, pleading with Smith not to indict trump. (no mention of with tears in their eyes biggrin )

Apparently Smith sat quietly listening to them, then when they had finished bid them goodbye, then issued the indictment
https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/13/book-trum...

Thats got to have come from team trump, because Smiths team hasn't leaked any stories at all.

Well that's a worrying but unsurprising turn of events, that Trump wanted the Military to seize voting machines.

It was a Banana Republic.

But grrrrrr Hillary/Obama/Biden.....
