I was one of those saying it's all over, and I haven't been proven wrong. And I still am saying it. He's done. Toast. Finished.

It's just, well, these things don't happen instantly. Which shouldn't need to be explained.

Like a supertanker. Momentum. It's going to crash, it's inevitable. But it hasn't yet. Does that mean it won't? No.

The problem is your insistence that because he's not in an orange jumpsuit right now, he's getting away with it.
I’ve been hearing people say similar things since 2016. Every time Trump said or did something particularly vile people would say “This is it! It’s all over for him! “, things like “it’s ok to grab them by the pussy”, or mocking the disabled reporter, or saying he found his daughter attractive or the Mueller Report….. and yet the slimy turd rolls on…..

trumps released another poorly lit video to disguise his appearance, poor health?, begging for people to send him as much money as they can so he can fight communist, fascist, lunatic prosecutors....

I know your not his number one fan but he looks pretty good to me , and lucid too for him.
I suspect he is pumped up by his stock market performance and trial delays. Love him or utterly hate him he is resilient and not stopping yet.

As I said above, there will be no end of wriggling, but the stars are aligning.
Whilst anything is possible, the Biden campaign is starting to ramp up….& I sense there is a reasonable possibility that the GOP could get trounced in November.

I dive into Truth Social every now & then (with my unidentifiable ID wink) to berate and take the piss out of the orange buffoon.
It is mostly a MAGAcult fest, but there are a bunch of folk also pointing out the ludicrous flaws in him too….

Clearly only time will tell….
I’ll thoroughly enjoy it, if it happens. I reckon the election will be sadly a lot closer than anyone wants.
You need to watch Jessica in the lions den of Judge Jennine and Watters
Jessica: It is reflected in the polling on it, how much money Biden is fundraising and the kind of campaign that he is running. He’s been to every single swing state since the SOTU. Donald Trump has had that rally in Ohio otherwise he’s been in courtrooms and golfing

https://twitter.com/i/status/1773103186154258731

They swung a red state by a huge amount over abortion. The background stuff is there. There's no money going to trump, it's all going to Biden. Bidens campaigning, trumps bunkered down playing golf because he's skint or in court.

There's so much to come out yet. I predict the GOP will be massacred
Easy double your money for you if your feeling brave them, a Dem win is still even money at the bookies.
My mortgage is due for renewal next March, and I have about half the amount in a savings account. Like you I can’t see how Trump can possibly win this, and the temptation to be mortgage free is strong. But I still don’t have faith in the American public to not vote him back in.

And that’s exactly where I am with this.

There are also two distinct things being discussed.

GOP as a whole - they will be routed

Trump as the GOP candidate - it will be closer than anyone wants.

That was 4 years ago, before he had covid, before his mini strokes, before his dementia kicked in. Did you mean to link to his recent video pleading for cash? Dimly lit to hide his poorly appearance? He's hitting the make up heavily

I have no doubt he will try the false electors thing again in the swing states.
He knows he can’t win by playing fair, but he needs to win to stop the legal cases against him proceeding.

I expect the following to be on the table - voter intimidation, polling stations ‘running out’ of ballots, fake stations, re emergence of the (non existent) BLM / Antifa threat, GOP speaker stopping the vote certification etc.
what has he got to lose? he’ll expect his planted appointments to do their duty and will be wailing about stollen elections till he dies.

I suspect you're right, there's lots more to come. No doubt they will try the fake electors scheme this time only try to legitimise it by saying the Local GOP can pick their own electors, who then can cast their votes for who they want, not what the people voted for, esentiall the core their attempt last time.

Then we've the usual of voter intimidation, trying to dissuade voting by closing voting stations, reduce drop off boxes, interfere with the mail in voting, removing people from the voting register etc. Then of course all the GOP voter fraud, double voting etc...

Dems need to get people out and vote, but also need to get people to make sure they are registered to vote. They ened to work on that now, not necessarily tell them to vote dem, but just to get out and vote...

I think the republicans will get spanked in November.

They have done nothing in Congress.. Aside from Biden hunting

Trump has been exposed as the would be emperor with no clothes

Roe v wade will help
I'm increasingly of this view. The tide is flowing.

The other thing, is I now don't think we'll see that pivot point of a sudden move away from trump, that tipping point of realisation.

What we are seeing is a gradual downward trend away from trump and the GOP. His primary results for an incumbent were terrible, they've lost seats in special elections, with seats turning Dem all across the country, in States as well as the House.

There's more and more people now feeling brave enough to say they won't vote for trump. That wouldn't have happened 4 years ago

Remember the small controlled crowd trump had in his tiny venue in Iowa, the carefully controlled photos

This was Liz Cheney's crowd as she spoke about the dangers of reelecting trump

I'm going to go out on a limb and state that I believe multiple criminal trials for things like fraud and espionage, are not the same as a recording of him speaking to a reporter and saying gross things.

Multiple criminal trials which seem to be getting delayed and repeatedly pushed back? If he gets elected they’ll all disappear

The last five words are the sort of instruction that the RICO case is built upon. It’s clear what he’s telling someone to do, but he’s written it in a way that gives him some plausible deniability if there’s any attempt to follow through.

This is the thing that winds a lot of people up.

He posted that the day after Judge Merchan ( who we all thought would come down on any trumpisms)
Explicitly said do not go after staff or their families.

But silence, so in trumps world he’s free to ignore yet another ruling.

IMO Trump is a cornered rat now. He knows the trouble he's in so has no choice other than to continue the lies and intimidation in the hope of grifting money and getting elected.

Expect much more of the same.
