Jesus wept, what a Horrible thread. Internet point scoring over a dead two year old. Sad.
Completely agree, the 'better than you' attitude from some I find really difficult to understand, have some compassion FFS. Some of you should be ashamed.
I have a horrible feeling the conclusion to this story isn't going to be a nice one

Ah bless - I've just seen the ethnicity of the poor kid and no doubt that would have made it even harder for the dad to have recovered him.

Absolutely. A horrendous situation, and st does happen. A few weeks ago my wife phoned me in floods of tears. Our 4 year old boy had very nearly got flattened by a lorry in the village walking home from school. He’s usually stuck to my wife like glue, but a split second and he’d stepped into the road. My wife is usually quite chilled about cuts and bruises and falls, which is why i know just how close he came to being a statistic. It took her a few days to get over it. I have a pit in my stomach thinking about the family of this little boy.
I've always thought it's a miracle that any toddler grows up to adulthood (and with both eyes still in their sockets). There are very few parents that haven't had a near miss or two, IME.
Near where I live a parent was trying to cross a road, a skip lorry was going past at probably 15mph. The small child she was holding the hand of ran forward and she was too late pulling her back as the lorry tyres went over her.

London is a 20mph zone, you need not worry about me.
I sincerely hope you never suffer anything close to what these parents are going through. I know you'll satisfy yourself that you won't, because you'd never put your child in harms way but you haven't shown yourself in a great light in this thread IMO. pti said:

Yet the post above yours alludes to people thinking things but not saying them. Interesting how people are. Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
