2. Elected MPs with no party, then a central man to oversee all
3. Food parcels and travel vouchers for those on benefits
4. Social housing as Nissen huts
5. Benefits package for UK manufacturers, such as lower rates, etc
6. Funding for UK startups which will be paid back and a percentage held for a certain amount of years.

Bit of a can of worms here..

The true cost of living stays the same irrespective of your income. i.e. petrol, bread, milk all cost the same if you're prince or pauper.

So it means that the high earners get a great deal and the lower earners get screwed (as it will certainly raise their taxes!). So it seems fair that you will contribute more to the society that has given you more as you have more to spare?

It's perfectly logical to have increased levels of taxes for increased earnings. As much as many people won't like it. I'm not sure whether a flat rate is communism or capitalism gone mad but either way it seems daft to me.

Anyway... I really can't be bothered arguing the toss over this. I've already filled my arguementative bd quota for the day.

dole etc to be well paid, but you have to work for it.
All important utilities, hopitals etc on performance related pay, with huge bonuses and crap basics. BUT the performance criteria would be stringent (operaste at profit, rail services 98% on time etc)
proper motorway network, variable speed limits. Causing an accident through muppetry, including blowouts, middle lane heroism, and gold rover towing a caravan would be a ban.
BBC to show inteligent telly again, not the dumbed down rubbish there is now.
An abolishion of nanny state daftness, red tape and any form of "PC" behaviour, but still punish outright racism etc.
But not fattism.
In fact, make a "fat tax", which increases exponentially dependant on the question "when was the last timew you saw your own penis, anyways"..

The principle is that those who earn large sums of money will try less hard to avoid paying tax if it is not considered punitive based on them being high earners. The result will be getting 20% of something instead of 100% of f*ck all.

Give those who have been unemployed for over 6 months a credit card type affair that gets topped up once a fortnight with their dole money, but cannot be spent on luxuries i.e. fags and booze

I am sure this would start some kind of black market, but it's a start.
