How can any culture commit this kind of atrocity WITHOUT a hidden agenda ?

Hardly an atrocity, Longsight is a predominantly brown area of Manchester so the re-use of abandoned religious buildings was almost inevitable, my understanding is that the church was deconsecrated some time ago.

Yes it could and should have been done with a lot more tact and diplomacy, but then again I’ve seen worse done to graveyards by scrotes of all nationalities from shaven headed, hoodie wearing, cider swilling white kids to shaven headed, hoodie wearing, dope smoking, brown ones.

rolleyes.........

Where are the photos of diggers actually smashing headstones? Do you not think a church in inner Manchester might have broken headstones lying about after being vandalised by (mostly white) chavs?

I'm also sure the church didn't close due to there being 'no white people left in the area'. Attendance at churches has decreased massively all over the country, and many have closed and been turned into housing or other facilities. I wonder how many of the BNP mouth-breathers who will protest against this actually attend church on Sundays?

Just because someone has freedom of speech doesn't mean you should actually take them seriously....

Do we know what has happened to the people buried under those gravestones? Have they been moved elsewhere or bull-dozed over?

Depends if its a graveyard clearance, or simply removal of the headstones.

The church not 200 yards from where I'm sitting, with an 800 year history, has a graveyard littered with fallen headstones. The paving slabs to walk into the church are old headstones. The graves are still there though, its just that as those people are so long gone, nobody really cares.

I mean, who here tends for the graves of relatives they never knew, or could know?

They will be tarmacced over to provide adequate parking for the blinged out chavvy Hondas, innit.

I love the sign on the door 'enterance'......very telling.

Dont worry I have plenty of padding wink

Given the number of Churches that have been deconsecrated over the past 30 years and turned over to other uses this is hardly a shocking revelation, if the BNP want to gain mass support and acceptance for their aims, petty pot shots like this won’t work as most people either don’t care or can see through it as silly propaganda, either way it sets the BNP back in the eyes of the majority.

Maybe I'm not as outraged as you because I don’t go to a Christian church every Sunday and don’t believe that the son of god was the illegitimate son of a Jewish carpenter . . . . . . . . . but then again they are only the beliefs of recent immigrants and not the beliefs of the people whose descendants walked to these islands as Neanderthals wink

Islamophobia, and you're being an idiot. Even if I didn't know that graveyards over a century (or is it 75 years?) old can be and have been dug up for as mundane a purpose as widening a road, the amount of emotive BS in that page is enough to make my skin crawl.

Genocide? Where? Which race is being murdered or threatened with extinction? None, you say? Ethnic Cleansing- where?? Have you ever seen a dictionary??

BNP said:
The conversion of this church (founded in 1845 on a site donated by Sir J. W. H. Anson) into a mosque has been made possible by the displacement of the local indigenous British population by waves of Third World immigration into Manchester.
Again, this is nonsense- not least for the emotive and technically incorrect use of the word "displacement". Churches are closing all over the place, despite the white, British population being orders of magnitude bigger than when those churches were built. Derelict churches are a symptom of traditional white, Christian families becomming White Agnostic/Athiest/Materialist and abandoning them- hence them being turned into trendy nightclubs & the like. It has nothing to do with immigration. How many white kids in your class went to church? How many white kids in schools today do you reckon go to church?

Seing an old Church graveyard dug up is a great shame, and very unpleasant. But to imply that because it's being dug up to make room for an islamic centre, as opposed to a road or car park, it's suddenly some great racist on the British people is ludicrous and anyone who is taken in by such thinking is an anti-thinking moron worthy of either pity or contempt. Britain has already changed. Hoping to return it to some romantic ideal that never was is delusional and is exactly why the BNP have so many parallels drawn between them and the Nazi party.

Is no one thinking of the much further reaching consequences. Building on a burial grave is a one-way road to spooks.

I know, I've seen poltergeist. Next it will be spooky little girls watching static on the tele. You mark my words. yes
