Slothario would you have a problem if a disused church or graveyard was turned into a set of flats ?
As for St Pauls Cathedral being turned into a kebab shop. Couldn't care less really, if it wasn't being used and was going derelict it would probably end up an eye-sore. Why not level it and put something useful in its place ?
Like the Colesseum, or the leaning tower of Pisa. Yeah, flatten 'em all and build call centres or new Ikea stores to sell us lots of st.As for St Pauls Cathedral being turned into a kebab shop. There are plenty of unused churches in areas that haven't seen a change in the population. We are becoming a more secular society. Why the fear of change? What is it that scares you about these changes?
Two near me have been turned into pretty nice houses.hairykrishna said:

How did it become unused ? Why did the white Christians move away ? Were they begged to stay by thier new neighbours ? Wake up.
Who said they moved away? it's no secret that church attndances are declining across the country, a bloody good thing in my opinion as it shows people are progressing. They don't need a crutch, er Church any more.sorry, I said I'd STFU didn't I

968, would you like to see St. Pauls Cathedral (it's in London) turned into a giant mosque ? Perhaps turning the Library of Dean and Chapter into a kebab shop while they're at it ?
Yeah, because that's exactly the same as changing the use of a derelict church.Boohoo.
err would the BNP still be unhappy..?
I'm not really into politics or religion TBH.

I don't care who worships who in what to be honest.
I think the architechture of old religios buildings is brilliant though and if the muslims will save the the building and use it then in my book thats a good thing.
It would have fallen down otherwise because the christians wont be coming back.
