We will learn to have no respect for suthority and we will at least stop being run by incompetent english ex public schoolboys.
You do know that winky isn't English and didn’t go to a public school don’t you? . . . . . . . . and just for good measure Blairs also Scottish having been born and for a good portion of his childhood raised in Edinburgh (both parents being Glaswegian)

Given that Blair’s predecessor’s Sir John Major, Baroness Thatcher, Jim Callaghan, Harold Wilson & Edward Heath were all educated in STATE schools and all bar Callaghan in state Grammar schools I fail to see where in modern times we’ve been ruled by public school boys, with the exception of Blair!
You do realise Brown isn't really in charge.
You are clearly under the misaprehension that politicoes run the country. You are of course deluded.

nuts
Apart from the perjorative term, are/do you suffer from the usual staffroom thought police?

Don't talk about politics, sex or religion? Two opportunities to look like an idiot and one to look like an animal? wink

I'm surprised they let me be a teacher, I used to tone myself down a fair bit though. smile

Germany because its cheaper than conquest. France because its less embarrassing than being invaded, Italy because they cant govern themselves, The poorer countries (PIIGS etc) because they get subsidised, the UK initially because its been a 500 year policy to prevent a single power facing us across the channel/north sea.

Apologies if I've set him off on what may become a rather amusing tinfoil hat fuelled rant as to why were governed by space reptiles who put mind control drugs in the water supply and beam thoughts into our subconscious via TV adverts. It wont however change the fact that every prime minister for the last 45 years excluding the very scottish Blair has been state/grammar school educated.

However as there are few Grammar schools any more, the only schools producing a good education are the public schools. So its to be expected that more PMs will have a private education.

Chat on Radio 4 now!

ETA

Well, that settles it. All conservatives in the EU clearly don't know that the Lisbon treaty is the only way forward and as such they shouldn't be allowed the opportunity to vote against it. rolleyes

I assume it'll be available on iPlayer.

The civil service of course. Who else? If not then why are there detailed proposals ready to fulfil conservative policy already printed and the publicity materials are already waiting to go to print?
