Comes in to a standing ovation and the EastEnders theme.

Listening now. He's certainly talking a good fight.

"my team, some of whom are becoming famous in their own right, mostly for the right reasons."

Just watched it. He did very well, to my admittedly untrained ears, and talked common sense!

Green eyed monster hehe

Excellent chap, thoroughly enjoyed his speech - he makes it worth listening, and talks common sense.

"no matter what kind of flashing green glistening eyed president they choose...." Blair in all but name.

Although referring to Nick Clegg as the rabid rabbit from Monty Python & The Holy Grail was better biggrin

As he says down Walford way.

That was about Vince Cable, not Clegg.

I can't take seriously anyone who wants to form a government with "Nick" and "Vince" in charge...

Snobbery? Oh yes.

Brilliant speech. He's certainly deft at putting his foot in it at times, but he talks a refreshing amount of sense in a no-nonsense yet eloquant way. For all his bimbling and eccentricity at times, I'd certainly have a lot more confidence in him than that one eyed scottish knobber
