Mate, there is so much piffle in there it's a job to know where to start. Are you a politics undergaduate?
No, but I'd like to get a grip on this. Give me your take on it. Thanks smile

I've got a mate waiting to pay off a course in New Zealand Dollars, he's gutted as it has basically fallen to an all time low and doesn't look to be coming back any time soon, has lost about £1000 over the last few months because of this.
Also the NZD has been going up for a while, its been very strong this last month. Really not a good time to be exchanging pounds for NZD.
Suspect it is screwing up a lot of expats and their migration plans.

£1 is now worth around AUD$1.76, down from somewhere around $2.50.

No sign of it stopping either with the AUD predicted to exceed parity with the USD, further interest rate rises, jobless figures going down, exports to China etc.

Wouldn't be surprised to see £1 = AUD$1.50 this year

I'd say there's some fairly sensible stuff in there.

I think this year I will be putting real coins on the Christmas tree and keeping the chocolate ones for the savings.
