Not yet because I switched it off in utter disgust. Now can't find a link to it so I can watch it and try to post a complaint that is not incoherent with rage.

I filled in the boxes and ticked the needed ticks but couldn't write too much as ranting is a little useless when making a complaint plus, the post- global gross deception 'advert' viewing pissteam was clouding my screen up...

It's pretty cold here in Lancashire this evening and I could smell coal fires burning when I nipped out for a chip supper.

One of our neighbours kids were having a party with what looked and sounded like lots of noisy fun.

Another neighbour has finally got his 1979 Mini 1000 running. Sounds a bit throaty though it's very shiny black so what's not to like?

This evening's Friday pie and chips were brilliant. I had a really chilled can of Dandelion and Burdock with mine!

And then that bloody 'advert' came on the TV just when pretty much everything was alright with the world.

The rotten bds... ranting

my reply
"Turgid nonsense presenting psuedo scare mongering "science" as unchallengable fact. Using a scared child to make me feel guilty is abhorrent and tanatamount to emotional blackmail.

“The attempts of environmentalists to bolster the myth of human-induced global warming is downright immoral.” Philip Stott, Professor of Biogeography, University of London

“Most geologists think the world is growing warmer, and that it will continue to get warmer.” L.A. Times 1929

So please get this rubbish off my television"

and mine
This advert is one side of a current debate that has many view points. Being a Government sponsored advert there is no opportunity for other views to be expressed at the expense of the public purse. It is no more than government sponsored brain washing. In short it is propaganda.
It is also on the whole factually incorrect; it claims 'scientist said' alluding that it is consensus amongst all scientists, this is misleading, better it says 'some scientists'. It claims and shows graphics that we are in danger of massive sea level rises this is alarmist and not consensus in its assumption. It incorrectly alludes that of 40% of CO2 is man made and it is this figure that can be reduced, this is misleading, with no more than 3% of CO2 being man made it is 40% of 3% that can actually be affected (but not eliminated) i.e. 1.2% of the total CO2 in the atmosphere is the most.
On so many levels this advert is plain wrong and I strongly object to its continued use.

A bit of rant I know, but hey ho

If by owner, you are asking who the advertising agency is who came up with this little gem, I'd like to know that too. Can't believe anyone at HMGov could rub the braincells together to do it on their own.

If we could find out who the agency was we could start a boycott of other products that that agency has the account for.

I am absolutely livid about this ad and will be complaining when I get back to the UK (am in Australia, so at least I'll be doing my bit for CO2 on the way back hey?). I don't expect any complaints to make the blindest bit of difference, of course furious

Complain that it scared the life out of your child, they had nightmares and you had to stay up all night with him/her turning appliances off and promising to drive more slowly.

Lets say you wanted to "groom" the younger generations to whole-heartedly accept whatever green taxes you introduced in the future, without question. What sort of advertisement would you create to begin that process?

A brief advert has just come on SKY 1 inbetween Soccer AM.

" if you take physics at school, you could help fight global warming"

Do they really think this will get kids to study physics?

or is it me out of touch and it will actualy mobilise a group of kids who were not planning on picking physics as an option to do so?

"well miss I was going to take sports science and media studies but I wants to help the planet innit!" yeah right!
