Despite the lack of a decent summer this year (and last), the local streams where I live have all dried up and stopped flowing. Not seen this happen before apart from when we had that really great summer four years ago. This is a little surprising given that we are nearing November, no the middle of August.

I blame climate change.

However, the weather forecast is for it to piss down for the next 24 hours, so I'm guessing the climates changed again and I expect to see those streams flow again.
Sure it's not local water useage changing?

It's Gordon Brown's fault.

He should have used more ecotax on sacrifices to the Green God, but spent it on trying to buy votes instead.

Could be, some farmer stealing the water....? Bit sad to see, as the local stream (small river really) feeds 3 fishing lakes.

Just saying that there could be many non-climate related reasons for a lack of water this year - land building, farming practices, animals damning up-river, natural erosion etc

beavers....? I had heard they were being re-introduced....

Unless the fish have drunk it all of course.

Actually, I think its lack of rain fall. Despite a crappy summer, it hasn't actually rained that much.
