You just couldn't make this stuff up.
Isn't there somebody on another thread arguing that 'big oil' - and you'd think there would be another fake bogeyman invented by now - is big cheese compared to the (total) hundreds of millions in green taxes collected each year by developed countries, and now there's the 4 trillion euros we find slushing about in green markets. Not to mention the estimated $200bn cost of the utterly pointless posturing of the Kyoto WasteOfTimeOcol. It looks like true believers need lessons in orders of magnitude as well as causality. Millions, billions, trillions, all wasted on junkscience and a bankrupt ideology determined to secure financial bankruptcy as well.http://www.cnbcmagazine.com/story/the-true-cost-of...

Also the Climategate e-mails that show the conspirators getting cosy with oil companies and industrialists, lots of opportunities for influence and probably expecting research commissions and grants - can't remember if there were specific mentions of these.

If Enron being involved isn't a sign of a fix-up then I don't know what is.
